Lemon Tree is good when its not packed out, last couple of times i've been there for ForwardRussia and TCTC have been good but its a pain trying to get a pint or piss when its sold out. And that feckin piller! I've always liked the Forum when i've been there. The slope on the Carling Academy makes it easy to see anywhere and gigs in the ABC and QMU have all been class when i've been there. Seein Biffy in June at the Barras will be the first time i've been there, cannae wait! Its all about the bands at the end of the day though!

Miller has been alright for us over the last few games, Boyd doesn't do anything but score, his hold up play is a joke for his size and he doesn't have the pace or stamnia for chasing the ball into corners etc. Its to big a risk to play to hope that he might put away one or two of the clear chances we get. Miller has in the past. I can see why he's playing Daily, if we lose a goal earlier he'll probably move into midfield to let Hartley/SideBall get further forward. Would have kept McManus instead of Pressley, he did play well against Milan and i don't think Pressley would have done any better for the Kaka goal. To be honest its just great to still be in it at this stage of the group, having played the three top teams after tonight!

I thought they started off slowly, the sound was needing turned up a notch but it did seem to get louder as the gig went on. Head's not the best song to open a gig either, Same Mistakes or AIM would have been better. Im not a fan of Once More With Feeling on record but its a totally different song live and was pretty awesome how they worked it into Music Box. Lets Kill Music and Panzar Attack rocked hard and was a class end to the gig. Disappointed no Who Needs Enemies or Devil Walks in the Sand but they did play a fair whack of songs so cannae complain.

Going down to see the Klaxons/CSS/Sunshine Underground in Liverpool next Fri and was just wondering if anyone had any advice on bars/clubs/shops etc to visit? With Ryanair putting on cheap flights nowadays it may be cheaper going to see gigs in Liverpool rather than Glasgow/Edinburgh!

The dons played some good football yesterday, struggled in the final third though as Stewart doesn't really bring anything to the team! Nicholson and Smith were quality, Smiths a strong guy for being a wee shit, even Dempsey looked good yesterday. Need another striker though. It was another good day out, away support is excellent is usual, pity the scumdee police have to be such assholes!

I went two years ago so I half know my way around, got prices for a twin room at the American Dream hostel which is coming in at 120 for 5 nights which I suppose isn't bad. The flights are Aberdeen>Heathrow>JFK so at least we don't need to fuck about with luggage etc The only seats left for QOTSA/NIN are behind the stage, any info on touts over there? How annoying!

Im sure it was Ross that said something about the cost of taking the whole show all the way up to Aberdeen from Glasgow and then back down to where ever or vice-versa. Plus the fact the majority of bands struggle to sell out the AECC, even Radiohead tickets were still on sale the day of the gig. If you look down south the big venues in Birmingham, Manchester, London etc aren't really all that far away from each other and demands greater. Something along those lines.

Boring, why not just like the music that puts a smile on your face, makes you want to dance, makes you want to sing out loud etc regardless of who they've copied, what their influences are and what genre you would class them! Damn that sounded a bit hippyish, sorry!
