  1. Never implied there was anything wrong with the community or indeed even the people. As you say, however, it isn't nice looking and that was the point I was making - Dundee is classed as a slum by many ignorant people because the only part of it they see when driving through is the lesser looking area of town. It would be the same if Logie was the only place people saw when driving through Aberdeen - People would form opinions based on what they saw for a few minutes.
  2. Brady never trained this week and he's been spotted in a cast. The plot thickens.....
  3. Dundee is, in many ways, a far more vibrant, forward thinking City than Aberdeen. Particularly at Local Government level. Our so called leaders could do well to take a leaf out of Dundee's book. Condeming Dundee is ignorant. So many have clearly just seen the rather unsavoury hosuing schemes whilst driving through it to get further south and form a slightly blinkered idea of what the place is all about. Like chucking someone who's never been in Aberdeen in the middle of Logie and saying "welcome to Aberdeen - this is what we have to offer." I'd be far more worried about batterypowpow going to Glasgow on his own than just slating Dundee..........
  4. Damn, I thought someone was going to form a Cheap Trick tribute.........
  5. Reminds me to book the 4th off work! I'll do that in a minute. I'll watch the Superbowl but I'm still reeling that the Pack are out. Been a lifelong Pack fan and I had a feeling they might be the only team to beat New England. It would have been poetic justice after the season Favre's had. UNTIL they played so deploreably bad in the Conference game. It was beyond unnaceptable. It was like a completely different team to the previous weeks. Just feel so bad for Brett that he was picked off to ultimately decide the game - I had so much hope when we won the toss! It was like watching AFC - they build you up then take you crashing back down! Fair play to the Giants, they played better than Green Bay and deserved to win - I hope they go on to win it just to make me feel better! Should be a cracking Superbowl anyway if New York can bring their "A" game and make sure Brady is taken care of.
  6. Fully!!! I've bigged it up on here before, like, but it really is so much better than everything else out there. It cannae be faulted.
  7. I've had it since it came out and It's still as amazing as it was when I first got it. In fact it's better now, as it sees to be faster. http://www.mybroadbandspeed.co.uk/results/00143882.png Is the speed I get so just under 7 meg. If you've got a mobile just use it during the day (when you're probably at work anyway) - never make calls on it outside of evening & weekends - and use the house phone at night and the weekend for free (remember and hang up every 59 minutes to be sure.) It's saving me ever going over my monthly minutes on the mobile now, which used to happen a lot when I used it for all calls and never had the free calls deal! If you only take 1 Sky mix it's only 21 a month for a few extra TV channels, "up to" 8 meg broadband with 40gb a month limit and free evening & weekend calls which you'll notice will keep your useage down on the mobile. It's 30 installation. You cannae go wrong. Some broadband providers are charging that just for the broadband! Just be warned that Sky is frequently a pain in the arse to get installed! If it's not the need for a special heights unit there'll be a problem with the dish positioning or some cabling issues! There's always something but it always get done in the end.
  8. It's a very good set for any fan - I went off Idlewild years ago but I saw this at my Sisters and fair play to them - a lot of effort's gone into this. Wish more bands would follow suit and release CD / DVD sets actually worth buying. And lucky you getting a new year present!
  9. I've got in for PS2. One of the best games I've ever played. Like you say just like an interactive movie. The story is amazing. It's got absolutley zilcho replay factor, but who cares when the first go is so damned good! It's quite similar to my favourite PS games of all time, Fear Effects 1 & 2 but raises the bar in terms of interactivity. Check out these games if you can: Fear Effect - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia My fave game of last year was Smackdown v Raw 2008 - A return to form for the franchise. (You can clearly see I'm still in the dark ages stuck with a PS2! - none of your funcy Xbox nonsense!)
  10. Your best bet is to go around any of the castles in Royal Deeside and locate the "shoppe." In amongst the "clay doddies," multitudes of toffee & tablet and pipers in boxes they have for sale the finest mead money can buy. My Richard - Stilgoe look a like friend often indulges in this unique drink and I often "tap a scoof" off the lad - It's bloody fine but only in small doses. No doubt techteurs everywhere swear by it's "medicinal qualities." It's that kind of drink. Probably also a bit like Marmite.
  11. I was only joking, dude! Most of them wear long black leather jackets in the Matrix and are lead by a guy called Morpheus. Nothing sinister. I wish I could get 600 presents! Although it would be a bit harsh telling whoever got you it that you don't like it and have flogged it!!
  12. Get sick of folk shouting "Matrix" at you? Never mind, every cloud's got an inside of your Matrix. Morpheus would be proud!
  13. Don't wish to intrude, but that is the singularly most hideous website I've seen in years! Talk about selling the guy short! He's quite clearly a maestro and master of his trade, but he's being sold short with that frankly creepy website! Ah, and it's so annoying when you click on a page then go back to the main menu and that same music revs up EVERY TIME! I'm asuming you're somehow involved with Kyle Esplin and you've been so kind to preemo in giving him all that detailed info - my kind advice to you (if indeed it has anything to do with you) is to get the dudes representative to sort out that shod of a site and give the guy a real website which is reflective of his professionalism. The website is his virtual front door - you wouldn't want someone walking into a shoddy office to book him so why should the website be anything different? I would certainly be put off by the state of the site! 100% constructive criticism, this - I'm not having a go but the guy is being criminally sold short. His website looks like something produced for a school project in Frontpage. Ten years ago. Get it sorted, as my advice is a professional looking website speaks volumes about the subject. 799882 people had visited the site when I last clicked - that's a shedload of people all over the world, probably that could have been even more impressed with him by means of a slick and zippy website. There's hundreds of ideas you could develop from a piano other than a blue background with yellow text and images all over the place. You have to scroll around to find anything! Fair dinkum if you think I'm speaking complete bollocks and maybe he doesn't rely on the site for selling CDs that much, but I just thought I'd point it out from a graphics point of view and that of a stranger or potential customer! Thread hijack over.

    Chris Jericho

Jericho's lost his main event stautus already to feud with JBL. Not that I'm worried, as Jeff hardy has risen the bar so high in his current program with Orton. He had a cage match with Umaga this past Monday - It was as close to a five star I've seen in recent years. Orton was prowling outside of the cage the whole time, smashed the door in Hardy's face and was pumped to get in the cage. Really intense stuff from Orton, who played his part despite not even being in the match. Hardy gave Umaga the best chair shot in ages, literally chucking it off his face. He took a fair beating until he hit the twist of fate then proceded to perform whisper in the wind off the top of the cage. Mindblowingly good stuff. Hardy's the best wrestler in WWE just now - He's rasied the bar so high with his recent push and the inclusion of a good storyline (Orton kicked shit out of Matt while Jeff was in a match - Jeff is IC champ and wants both titles - Orton is a maniac in short) just elevates him higher. Anyone who's a wrestling fan should check out Monday's RAW just for the cage match. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I did. I was literally applauding at the end when he jumped off the cage!
  15. Yep, I edited Sabotage to have a long break in the middle!!!! Forgot all about Song 2 loopage - that's a classic too! Good skills
  16. Gotta be the proper intro by New Order then the bombastic Orgy riffage
  17. Not sure if this'll be viewable or not, but I'll give it a try. Sorry if it's a tricky to view, but it's the best I can get without spending time on it and I'm far too lazy for that! Glad some folk are enjoying the trip back down memory lane. Chop Suey by System should really be Sugar (forgot to change it), but apart from that I'm pretty sure there's nothing after 2000 so this comp could have been about 8 years ago. Charlie Big Potato is by Skunk Anansie, not Various, in case anyone was wondering, but I'm sure you all remember the song and that riff! Da na na na - na - na! And you all know Lump was by the Presidents! The full tracklisting for the Mudd Club playlist: I've never had so much crap on my iPod (Shed 7!!!! Limp Wristed!!!! etc. etc. etc.), but it's all in the name of a good nostalgia fest! Good fun.
  18. Right, I'll have to post the "full bifter" tracklisting tonight. Like I said, the CDs were a slightly truncated version for my sis, but I'll maybe get a screen grab off of itunes tonight and show you all the full tracklisting - including dEUS and Whale - so save your cum and tears for later tonight! Dinnae sell me short!
  19. Alright - can't be arsed typing them all out, obviously, so here's the backs of each CD. This ain't no "strict" specific Mudd night, just a flavour to give my sis a trip down memory lane. The running order is a bit strange in places, but it's just to make each CD a bit more coherent. There are some classic Mudd moments to be had, though!
  20. Cheers dude, that's perfect. Most appreciated.
  21. Cummy's not dead but the new year saw him reach the benchmark of not leaving his house for 2 solid years. An impressive quota. When he eventually croaks it they'll have to cut him out - It'll be a fire brigade effort. It's not a "hard bar" - the docu is a complete joke, but there are a couple of folk who still drink there that I wouldnae exactly get on the wrong side of, let's say. It may be the final year - time will tell. P.S. - new blood - what Dave said above is as good as you'll get!
  22. Cheers Maxi - never even thought to have a look at the galleries here! Good skills
  23. Long shot I know, but would anyone happen to have a photo of the Palace in it's Mudd Club heyday? I've compiled a volume of CDs of Mudd tunes for my Sis down in Edinburgh for old times sake and they just need a wee photo to finish off the inlay. Ideally I would like a shot of the dance floor (populated or not) but really anything would be greatly appreciated - an external shot or anything inside really - anything's better than nothing!!! I've trawled the web and can't find anything - can any of you guys help? Surely someone used to take their camera on nights out and wasn't as irresponsible as my crowd! Cheers Marsh.
