  8. my advice is, get together with 2/3 other bands and rent one space and share. tis a LOT cheaper and less hassle. no more carting about yer stuff, stopping /starting just when you get grooving..... oh yeah, nearly forgot, i have a friend who is setting up a rehearsal space rosemount somewhere. i`ll try to get him to post details here or summat.
  9. check out the Tsunami benefit gigs on sunday night in Belmont St. Lots of lacal talent playing in Drummonds, Kef, Wild boar and maybe elsewhere too. with aftershow party in Kef. featuring - Amy sawers, kathryn sawers, the wildcards, eric euan, redmanwalking, double jack, the vandeyleys(sp?), and heaps more i cant remember (will get flyer and update later). A premo opportunity to check out loadsa local talent in one night.
  10. just a point but, if you dont go to see a band because one gig you went to you didnt like them, how is it possible for you to tell if they have moved on, developed their sound/new songs, started PERFORMING rather than playing. IMHO to not go and see bands more than once cause of 1 gig is rather silly cause all good bands develop and change over time. back in the day (90s) bands and friends would go to gigs they were not playing at and bands kinda new each other and who was doing what with which band. that seems to be lost now. my 2 cents
