  1. Dreaming is a pretty dangerous thing for any creature to do isn't it? You would have thought some life forms would have evolved not to sleep.
  2. I'm still new to Kraftwerk. I used to really hate them, but having listened to Radio Activity it's really changed my mind about them. I like the avant garde sound in Radio Activity. I really ain't into their more poppy sounding stuff - though I wouldn't rule out liking it once i've explored more of their earlier stuff. Next i'm going to buy Autobahn, but am open to suggestions for their other retro, avant garde sounding albums. Any ideas? - taking into acount whats in my current "I'm listening to" part of my profile...
  3. In no order: Tangerine Dream - Phaedra Kraftwerk - Radio Activity Yes - Fragile Steve Hillage - Fish Rising King Crimson - Red Can - Tago Mago Neu! - Neu! 75 Vangelis - Blade Runner Soundtrack Dire Straits - Dire Straits Hawkwind Space Ritual
  4. Well, i would imagine an emo kid would to be someone (USUALLY a teenager) who is pretty in touch with their emotions. Yes, poets write about their emotions, but if everyone who wrote about their emotions was to be concidered a poet, well fuck, i know a lot of poets. There's a time and place to write about your emotions. Not MSN! I just think that using an msn screen name to share these feelings is just attention seeking, really. It's maybe someone's way of letting everyone else know that they've just broken up with their girlfriend or that their feeling depressed. If one was really depressed, i'd imagine one would usually like some privacy. The definition of the "emo" i'm trying to pinpoint is as i said in my original post. Emo = Ego
  5. And i'm suggesting emo kids should have better ways of channeling their hormones than through msn screen names!
  6. Yeah ill probably be there too Would be good to hear some opeth at the moorings Now that the jukebox has accommodated slots for Hawkwind, Yes, Camel and Captain Beefheart, no dj may ever be on the receiving end of my slightly obscure requests again. Still, more Hawkwind is always good for a Friday
  7. I loved the way the way the scene cut from the building site straight to everyone sitting comfortably in the living room, complimenting each other. hahahahahaha Do you think Neighbour's writers are being ironic with these awful storylines? I take it they must live in ignorance of how shit the program really is, right? I say shit, but in an awesome way!
  8. "call it over...call it gone...call it nothing..see what uv gone and done..who were u to br8 my heart..i will not b beaten by u" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH Emo Screen Name of the day methinks
  9. Right, I'm really fed up of all these emo screen names people are using on MSN messenger. It wouldn't be so bad either if they didn't use an entire verse of emo lyrics for their screen name. Anyone else getting frustrated by this? I've now created a tab on my msn titled "Emo names". Anyone with a ridiculously long and depressing screen name goes in there from now on. Though i must admit, i do get a laugh out of the whole ordeal. Anyone seen any good emo screen names recently? Emo = Ego
  10. I had my last card replaced with a visa electron. What shite they are! The card has actually managed to screw up my entire day's plans on several occassions
  11. thanks everyone, for the feedback so far. A little more wouldn't go amiss though
  12. haha The kid probably thinks he has a fan base in the UK now. You have to pity the kid, really. One day in the distant future hes going to look back and think "Oh fuck, oh no. I really wish i hadn't done that". Until then though...
  13. New jukebox = fucking ace!
  14. Definately Blade Runner by Vangelis The Big Lebewski also ace I know there are others im missing, but i just cant think of them right now.
  15. JJ Cale Camel perhaps? Maybe some Yes? Oh god, i'd be so happy to hear 'Roundabout' in the moorings.
  16. Just bought Can's Ege Bamyasi. Sounding amazing also. I'm thinking i might try and start up a motorik band but I can imagine it being pretty difficult to find the right musicians in Aberdeen. hmm. Would be awesome fun though.
  17. Yeah i saw them last time at the music hall. Amazing. Really, really brilliant, and i'd like to go this time but im not really prepared to pay the 25 to go see them. Last time, amazingly, i got the tickets for free. No such luck this time round.
