Spiritualism is a religion on its own. I found this definition of a spiritualist. A SPIRITUALIST is one who believes in the ability to establish Spirit Communication between the two worlds and who endeavors to mould his or her character and conduct of life in accordance with the highest teachings received by this means. Of course theres a lot more to it than just that.

I honestly can't remember. I found the leaflet the other day and lost it, but it was quite a strange one. You'd be surprised though about how many christians and catholics do feel so against spiritualism and magick. . . Reading this thread though, the people of Aberdeen do seem to be a pretty intolerant bunch

My friends and i came across a couple of christians last week some time trying to persuade us to worship Christ. The conversation must have actually lasted about an hour. What one of them said really pissed me off. She said that it's not healthy to question everything about life, we should just accept certain things; ofcourse referring to Christianity. To this i replied, "So are you saying that we should just eat everything we're being fed?" She replied yes. I suppose, it's closemindedness that ultimately pisses me off above EVERYTHING else. I think closemindedness is what spawns all "evil".

What gets me is when people can't handle awkward silences in conversations and end up just making it worse by making some inaudible noise which they hoped would sound like a word... Also when i'm telling someone something and they react like i just got to the punch line (not being deliberately ironic!) when all i've said is: "See, i was walking down the street..." "No, shit, really?" When people aren't listening but think your stupid and so think they ARE actually convincing you they're listening - well, that just disheartens me. lmao! I'm sure these people all mean well

I'm looking to set up a prog rock band - I've just been writing so much of it recently that it's about time i got some musicians for me to play it with. I will be looking for a drummer and keyboard player (if i can find one) at a later date but right now i just want to start with another guitarist so we could go over what i've got so far. Basically i'm looking for a rhythm guitarist right now. Preferably someone near enough my age (Im 19) Influences are: King Crimson, Camel, Steve Hillage, Can, Amon Duul II, Porcupine Tree, Ghost It wouldn't just be Prog we'd be doing. I'd like to include a bit of psychadelia and most certainly some morotik beats (Can - "Tago Mago" style). If anyone would be interested in doing something like this, lemme know. Any drummers or keyboard players who would be interested also, feel free to reply, but right now i just wanna go over stuff with another guitarist. Cheers Rory

I'd also be tempted to sell my ticket if i had one. I certainly wouldn't go anyway. Still, i really hate people who buy tickets and sell them off on ebay for shitloads. It seriously pisses me off, so i'd probably end up just giving the ticket to someone who would go...
