  1. Xxxx I hope I had some good heckles, as far as I can remember the bands were all very good , I still feel fried, as I was more drunk last night than I have been since seeing King Liar a few months back. Macrocosmica were braw and Spaceboy were intergalactic gods.
  2. Been offered a gig there, anyone know if it's worth gigging there, what size it is etc ?.
  3. fuck me ! what a band just watched it again and the Pistols live were fucking great, anyone know any bands who are so shit hot at live gigs NOW?
  4. Colin Response I have not seen Sidca, this is perturbing as I have seen virtually every other local band ,but Craig is still alive and well and doing Bass/Vocals for 16 again under the moniker Colin Response. I used to be in The Tiger Lilys with him, Mark and Kirsty from Lithium and Al from the mighty HUMAN Generator, mind you I was pretty stoned so it might have been Spaceboy,ha ha ha.
  5. Fudge Fanzine I just bought NME for the free CD, the magazine has gone downhill since the 1990s when I last bought it,with writers more keen to show how clever they are at writing than actually saying much about bands, FUCK THEM, Fudge Fanzine is a great fucking laugh, and you always get a couple of good tracks on their CDs. Dr Drakes monthly gig guide and even The Lemon Trees (always inacurate and always late brochure) are a much better read. REVOLT NOW contact the NME and direct them to this site...they may change their tune.
  6. thanks to everyone involved total dosh raised 790, I will be presenting the cheque tomorrow Friday 8th Oct Drummonds 6 pm.
  7. do they do home tuition though? I teach how to set up ,tune up and how to avoid incurring costly damages to kits in the comfort of your own home. Virtually every time I go into Toms the kits are a disgrace , usually falling to pieces ,with skins too loose and sounding terrible, I spend around 15 minutes fixing problems made by amateurs, 2 or 3 times a week. I do not give boring lessons on sight reading, I teach people how to enjoy playing.
  8. I will teach you on your own kit in Aberdeen or at Captain Toms Recording/Rehearsal Studio on Anne Street, any takers ? I have over 20 years gigging/recording/teaching experience.
  9. Andy Gangadeen 10 but worth it The Forum 7 pm Mon 4th,very interesting drummer doing a clinic, then gigging with his band, saw them in the Lemon Tree, amazing compositions jammed/sampled/played instantly GO it will be better than I can describe.
  10. 16 again tonight 30 Sept 2004 I will be hitting electronic pads, you will have damp pants 9pm ish free addmittance.
  11. Grrreat 700 raised for Easleigh Care Centre Residents Activities Fund, thanks everyone. Did any one take photos/videos?.
  12. ooh the perils of being pissed This is another reminder to me NOT TO write shite on here when pissed,he he he,LOVED the Clashed by the way.
  13. Thanks very much to everyone who took part, I had a fantastic day,we raised almost 700 for Eastleigh Care Centre Residents Activities Fund, cheers ,Biz.
  14. Case YEAH IT'S the mighty HUMAN Generator and XS RELOCAT,small case for the mighty EVERY time, large case for XS RELOCAT.
  15. the year is 2005 so good I bought the t shirt
  16. Well punk what did you think? I thought the fake pistols were treated badly by too many assholes, too much lager was thrown over the monitors FUCKING CUNTS grrrrrrr, they played well, but just a tad too long a set, and denegrated themselves by playing the shit covers and crappier stuff, if they had played for 30 minutes they would have had a better response. I fucking loved 16 agains set, funny as fuck.
  17. ha ha haa I am pissed and thocht ye were slagging Drummonds, anyway the Malt Mill IS VERY VERY DIFFERENT, worth a look next Thursday when 16 again are gigging , and I will be for the first time ever using a fully electronic Kit whoo hooo canna wait , they hae very flash looking flat screens wherever you look tae and they are paying better dosh and ye dinna hea tae pay for the PA either,a bit o an auld mannies pub,but that's fit I am,still nae as good as Dr Drakes though , although Drummonds is getting surprisingly good at booking a nice variety of bands.
  18. Juke Box My Arse Ye Poof Drummonds is a great venue,I HAVE PLAYED THERE DOZENS OF TIMES and its on the list of being the best place in Aberdeen to see bands tae. Betamax,ye shite steerin fucker, you used to go there heaps, when the sound engineers were nae quite up to Ians standards, check it oot on Saturday for The Clashed and 16 again and Sunday from 2pm with the hangover cure from hell 16 again... again.
  19. fantastic bands this Sunday 26th Sept Drummonds 2pm - 12pm 9 bands only 2 including , after an 8 year disappearance , the return of the mighty HUMAN Generator mucho variety, mucho cheapness, they even hae a new floor,so ye dinna stick around the bar so much. Yeah yeah I know tribute acts generally suck, but 16 again are opening BizATHON 2004 and they clearly are an exception. BE THERE at 2pm,cheers,Biz.
  20. photos/videos The plan was to give the photos to Fudge Fanzine for possible inclusion,or even stick a few on this site , and the video is just so I can make copies and give them to the bands as a thanx for playing for free. I have found someone to record it off the desk on minidisc, but would LOVE a video, and am too busy rehearsing/playing to do anything about it. All the 2 door money goes to chawideeepop pickers.
  21. Doubl Trouble I use a Ludwig Speedking with a big DW beater,it's as loud and fast as using double beaters, minus all the hassle that goes with them,I used to use double beaters and double hi hats, great fun ,but a pain in the arse to set up. Everyone come to BizATHON 2004 2pm-12pm Sun 26th,THAT'S THIS SUNDAY. Oh!, and by the way my Roland V drums play even faster than the speedking, and as loud as you want at the turn of a switch, and that's using a bog standard premier 20 something pedal.
  22. photos my arse So where are the Gavfest photos you mentioned earlier? Can't find them on the site.
  23. sUNDAY 26 sEPT 2PM -12PM dRUMMONDS BizATHON 2004 sUN 26 sEPT Drummonds Belmont Street 2-12PM gREAT BANDS/GREAT djS
