  1. LOL are you kidding?? or have I missed something?? All he's doing is playing "Canon Rock" by JerryC - badly... so many bum notes, missed arpeggios and he manages to completely miss out all HINT of feeling in the "slower" solo parts. A truly uninspiring piece of guitar playing. Shallow and Pedantic even. I'm actually trying to figure out if you are being ironic though...
  2. nope it was just that it was posted on our forum - thats where Dan found it ... we didn't make it or nowt!
  3. apparently not... how difficult is it to send a friendly PM asking politely if we have seen a lead going about? Very... it would seem.
  4. the point is it should have been started in private surely? Lucifer please direct any further comments to my PM box.
  5. All it takes is for you to admit that you were wrong to post your moronic accusation and we will accept it and then everything will be fine. Or you could continue this stupid little hissy fit you are taking and continue to display your ignorance...
  6. You have missed the point entirely Lucifer... read your original post again.. you don't come out and say that - you should have sent one of us a PM and asked if we had seen it or picked it up - not come along and accuse us of stealing...
  7. well I have checked and double checked, so has gregor - and none of us have your lead. I can't believe you would come out with that stupid comment of blind accusation. How about the other band that was playing? Funnily enough just before you went on - I'm not saying they stole it because I doubt any of those guys would need a lead either. But I'm saying that you are in the wrong with that comment. Did you even look at the garbage tip that is the tunnels stage? There's shit lying all over the place - in fact the DJ had moved my bag and guitar case when he went on - maybe he moved your stuff too? Think first, post second.
  8. sweep picking is a hard technique to master.. but hope this can help. e-----------------------5---10---5----------------------- B-------------------6------------------6------------------ G---------------7--------------------------7-------------- D-----------7----------------------------------7---------- A----5--8-----------------------------------------8---5-- E---------------------------------------------------------- 1 4 3 3 2 1 4 1 2 3 3 4 1 e-------------------------------10--13--10----------------------------- B---------------------------10---------------10------------------------- G----------------------10------------------------10--------------------- D-----------------12----------------------------------12---------------- A-------------12------------------------------------------12------------ E----10--13--------------------------------------------------13--10---- 1 4 3 3 1 1 1 4 1 1 1 3 3 4 1 e-----------------------13--17--13---------------------- B-------------------15---------------15------------------ G--------------14------------------------14-------------- D----------15--------------------------------15---------- A------17-----------------------------------------17----- E---------------------------------------------------------- 4 2 1 2 1 4 1 2 1 2 4 these are your three main shapes, they are in Dminor. change the flat third back to make them major. i find that muting is just as important as the notes, as the idea of the arpeggio is forthe notes to sound seperate. your right palm should cover the strings you have played and left hand (mainly 1st finger) should cover the srtings you havent played yet (reverse this when coming back up). shapes 1 and 2 require you to use what is known as a 'rolling bar' in order to get the desired note seperation. good luck, i hope these help. 9. I hope they get more bands to fill the slots in time...
  10. whhhhatt?? I thought just 1 band pulled out? well that was a bit gay of them>? unless unavoidable?
  11. I think you might want to try one of these: Presonus Firebox - It's a firewire recording interface' date=' very very good bit of kit... Has 2 quality mic preamps with phantom power (for recording vox) - bass can be done DI into the preamps and for guitars, get yourself a Shure SM57 and mix up your amp... I used it to record the new Ascension stuff (see [url']www.myspace.com/ascensionbanduk) and I'm well chuffed with it...
  12. Nope as mentioned before Theo is our drummer, however the challenges of recording a drum kit to the quality you get with DFH are too great for us at the moment. We done have the space or the mics to do a live kit recording - DFH is a far better option... but live we have theo
  13. DFH = Drums From Hell (midi triggered drum samples) I really wanted to hit the snare with some verb, and use compression to give it a mighty whack - if you had heard a Hammerfall song you'd know what I mean (its a power metal thing really, I think it suits the mix). The bass is in there, intended to be discrete but i might turn it up as the cymbals could also come up a bit.. V67G is by Marshall, a popular low ender (do a search for V67 - G is just the colour code) - and yep recorded with a pop shield! Thanks for listening, is much appreciated.
  14. Oh yeah, should have posted this for anyone interested about how it was recorded: Equipment: Presonus Firebox SM57 (for guitars) V67G (for vox) Bass DI -> Firebox Drums from DFH Randall G3 Half Stack w/ Ibanez Tubescreamer for beef Guitars: Schecter 7 String and Ibanez RG1570L Prestige Synths from Hypersonic Recorded, mixed and mastered in Cubase... all done at my house with the aforementioned stuff...
  15. From the forthcoming demo, we have now completed Against The Flame: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=479390 Have a listen and see what you think... Cheers, Doc
