  1. hmmm we could really use a pic of the damage - if you can somehow get a pic up here I can be much more helpful!! try get one!
  2. electric shock shouldn't be possible... but you may have damaged the coils which will possibly have ruined the pickup... those things are delicate :S
  3. they sound good at what they do! best compliment I can give I'm afraid (coming from me its good hah!) coz I don't listen to that style but fair play to them! Makes for an interesting gig
  4. he can't be as good as Gregor though... but still sounds good! 3 guitars would be tricky at local gigs, there's just not enough definition in the sound to get 3 hi gain guitars working together!! worth a try tho haha
  5. http://www.last.fm/user/db0/journal/2006/03/20/99542/
  6. yeh but in power metal it's 2 guitars + keyboards
  7. prblem is we have 3 guitars now lol
  8. perhaps... although Ascension comes first so maybe we should get some songs done to jam to? Hammerfall, Gamma Ray and Strato, etc...
  9. merchant are an awesome shop though... they rule
  10. I think that was a bit harsh but you're comment possibly explains it a bit... let's just say they didn't take it well and from then on they got booed even more...
  11. coool now there's a bassist in the house! Singer and Drummer will be nigh on impossible to find though! my bad man, thought you said you couldn't cuz the picking was too fast!?
  12. Bump, final band comfirmed is Replay! A nice eclectic mix of genres so there should be something here for most people, Metal, Rock and Indie all in one lovely evening"!
  13. but you can't play Against the Flame yet Keep practicing
  14. are you upto playing power metal tho hehe
  15. ideally I'd love to be able to give some input on how the band should sound... I'm quite competent with EQ, Compression, Reverb and everything but to transfer this knowledge to setting up a live situation is something that would be really handy! Obviously with the 2 guitars dominating our sound it can be tricky to get everything right, usually a line check is fine but often we just need a soundcheck!
  16. yeah, the main point I had is that we got moaned at (not by anyone at Kef though) for playing over... even though we were told one more song would be fine!! The crowd were really great that night! Turned out great in the end!
  17. yeah we know... hence why we offered to miss the soundcheck!! Im just mad at the ppl moaning about us playing 5 minutes over thats all... It was good of the guys to get the speaker fixed as quickly as they did...
  18. lol no armour or robes *yet* However I do wear Lost Horizon face paint on occasion!! PROOF!! If you can only make one gig the 29th should be better as Open Air are playing and they are a great Metal band, also Tears of Grace might be up your street too!!
  19. 1) Performance.... the main thing I love is seeing people going NUTS to our songs and people singing the lyrics and stuff... that's just great. Prbably because I know what it feels to be in the crowd going nuts and singing lyrics to a band I love so knowing that people feel that when I play is what I love about my music... Although as a home recordist I do enjoy the recording side of things too... I like obtaining a broad knowledge of thigns... I like to be at the controls and produce my music too - I think if you write songs but have to trust another producer to record them you are at a bit of a disadvantage to an extent... so I enjoy having the knowledge to shape my music on recordings too! 2 - This one is both... but it depends what you mean by a "good" live performance.. .Dragonforce are usually quite bad live technically, etc BUT that pretty much means nothing as the songs are so great that they carry themselves... so in this case the good recording is better... some bands have great recordings and live performances, the best I've ever seen was Stratovarius. EVERYTHING about their live show was nothing short of jaw droppingly amazing. The drum sound for a start was the best I've ever heard at ANY gig, and this goes for their recordings - Imho Visions and then Elements pt 1 have the best power metal drums...Their performance was solid, but still had feeling and was a great joy to watch. Well damn thats a big answer but I hope you gain something from my opinion
  20. That's the point Dave... this thread was from last year and someone dragged it back - to be honest you might aswell close it... it is serving no purpose other than a platform for Scorge to vent about his pathetic life...
  21. Ha no ball... well I wish I could just say that everytime someone had told the truth about one of my foibles... Your lack of talent and personality is unescapable. "Having an epileptic fit over a drumkit does not a good drummer make"
