  1. No, but a nice cup of tea would be perfect.
  3. The phrase "increased levels of EQ" I interpreted as "gies yi mair signal, min" cos it doesn't make sense to me otherwise. What I was pointing out was actives can reproduce higher frequencies than passives, not too much of a problem with basses cos there's not a huge amount happening up there anyway. We're talking over 12-15 kHz comparing passive/active DIs, so I'm assuming that's roughly right for passive/active basses.
  4. So they probably don't have funds to pay a hundred stewards.
  5. Don't bother. Acoustic bass is the bastard offspring of electric and double basses. All of the problems but none of the benefits.
  6. I've noticed that after a short while, if I'm inactive and still logged on, the new posts option resets and I don't see all the posts since I logged on, only from some time after my last action. Any chance of tweaking this parameter so I can answer phones/have a quick shower/make some food without losing the info on new posts I had when I logged on. (quick links/new posts still doesn't work on the home page but I can live with that)
  7. I think it's ironic that I'm treated as a lesser human being by someone who's so vocal in opposing prejudice. Surely political activists should be rejoicing that someone like me even takes the time to think about such issues, never mind debate them. If my opinion's not as deserving of respect as others, maybe I should just switch on the telly and vegetate, making sure I change channels at the first hint of a news program, leaving the political activists to get on with saving me, without my nasty, grubby opinions getting in the way.
  8. No, they'll be mingling among everyone, rather than being segregated. If we haven't been tricked, how to you explain the look of joy, the twinkle in the eye, of gollum when he announced they weren't going to appeal but go shopping instead. Also strange that the casuals plot emerged just before the meeting, at a time when any plot would be known only to the leaders you would think, when it looked like they would have to let the march proceed. And stopping children marching, making it no longer a "family fun day" They didn't want to march; wether gollum was just so pleased the TV cameras were there or because the devious plot to infiltrate Union Street without being stewarded had succeeded I'm sure we'll find out.
  9. From one extreme to the other. The Simon Gall Band and Strobing Goat. Plus some of the others above, and some people I'm too tired to think of.
  10. No, it was my choice of words you chose to interpret in your own way, rather than actually reading the words. If you go back and UNDERSTAND all the words..., maybe a bit difficult cos you're politically active so you've been trained not to see certain combinations of words, try you're best anyway. NB: politically active seems to be synonomous with "Only hear what they want", "Answer only questions they want, not the ones that have been asked" and "accuse if all else fails".
