Maybe rewording from "kick drum will be put in the monitor" to "kick drum may be put through the drum fill if required". A minor change but it seems to open up whole new vistsas of choice. As for not putting guitar through the monitor in front of the guitarist, why? I do this on a regular basis and find it's the easiest way to keep both me and the artist happy. If it's feeding back all the time you may need to look at your monitor set up. Although I believe your in the process of trying out new ones so that problem should be solved soon anyway.

I wouldn't even try to argue that bands who were before my time were over-rated. I wasn't there at the time, I don't know what the choices were. Maybe they're over-rated because they were the best of a bad bunch ,maybe because, 30 years later, people have taken their ideas and improved upon them, thus making their initial inventiveness seem really dated and amatuerish. I'll agree with Franz Ferdinand though.

I think Ian Brown managed a couple of notes vaguely in key over the whole song. Better than his usual average.

Maybe there are more folk who like Bench than those who don't. All I know is that everyone I've ever spoken to about you says you're rubbish. But then I don't know everyone in Aberdeen. Anyway you seem to be able to take criticism so you're not all bad.

If you want to use your kit all the time get a headline tour and then cry as the money disappears out of your bank account when people who can barely play abuse it every night. Alternatively you could get a headline tour and make all the bands use another kit. Like most people do. Feel free to use your kit in Kef or Drummonds, as long as it's there before it's needed and other bands can use it there's no problem. In fact the Moorings is the only venue which has a reason to force you to use the house kit.
