  1. I attended Sunday School as a child but my parents didn't mind when I decided to knock it on the head. They aren't particularly religious either. If anything I'm agnostic. I don't believe in god but if I have to attend church I do find myself bowing my head and clasping my hands in prayer but that's only when it's births, marriages and deaths. I used to be highly tolerant of other peoples religious beliefs and to a certain extent I still am. But when I shared a flat with a rabid protestant who made Ian Paisley look like a fluffy hamster, my tolerance took a sudden nose-dive. At the time the guy was in his early twenties and was ordained as an elder. That was his choice and good for him but he had a nasty tendency to forcefeed his piousness on people. In all honesty I don't mind nor care what a person's religion is. That's their belief and their faith, but please don't ram it down my throat. My boss is a born again Christian and we have crossed swords on many an occasion. I thought I might've been forgiven when I didn't get quotes for wireline equipment in on time but that just ain't happened. And I just despise Evangelists!
  2. Yes. Have to agree with you there. Not The Nine O'Clock News was brilliant for its time. It was just a pity that it didn't get any more than the two series. A Kick Up the Eighties by the same production company was a spin off, wasn't it? Or am I havering and trying to remember my formative years all too hazily? I reckon Naked Video deserves a mention as being consistently funny too and also Absolutely to the same extent.
  3. You and me both Del. 'Fannies are for cocks, not arses.' Is 'You're having a laugh, eh?' the new catchphrase to be heard in bars all around the country from now on?
  4. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Mind you I was nine sheets to the wind at the time. Angel Summoner and The BMX Bandit deserve a show of their own. Digby Chicken Caesar and Ginger have made me even more decidedly wary of tramps.
  5. I just got 400 West reds for 25.00. I love folk who work overseas. Thank fuck they were packeted and still in the cartons..
  6. Marlboro Reds Because it's big and clever, plus the fact I'm chemically addicted to nicotine, phosphates, benzoates and the other ingredients Phillip Morris Inc add to their Virginian tobacco
  7. And to name his son Mebazza... what was he thinking!
  8. Did he ever say as an add on 'And the Germans don't have one for Zeitgeist'? It wouldn't surprise me if he did.
  9. Not under Scottish Law (or so I'm led to believe). What the city council does is forward your details on to Scott & Co who send round a bailiff. The bailiff then looks at your income & expenditure to work out an agrreable weekly/monthly instalment to pay your arrears. The Bailiff's are like vampires - they can only come in to your property only if you invite them in. If you fail to maintain your side fo the bargain reagrding the arrears then they will contact your employer to arrest a proportion of your wages. If you move from one company to another and forget to inform them (Guilty as charged, your honour) that's when they'll take great pleasure in arresting your bank account, the dirty bastards.
  10. Shit! Someone beat me to it:swearing: Other than that it's the entire Strike Team from the Shield and Dutch from the same show.
  11. I work as a buyer for a drilling company. It has its combined moments of sheer enjoyment and major panics when it's a case of 'We've got a load out going tomorrow and we need that calibartion gas pronto!' but I wouldn't change what I do at all. Its a complete change from working in payroll for the NHS and doing accounts payable for Oil Majors. Plus the fact I get invited to heaps of corporate jollies and get to flirt with female sales staff too.
  12. I'd definitely go along. Book 'em!
  13. No worries. My bad. I'll admit I'm wrong and stand corrected. Thanks for the Bright Light tip. It's a weekend of familiarising myself with all of Mogwai's stuff for me this weekend. It'll piss the neighbours off no end! And, yes, De Rosa were dire spelt S-H-I-T-E
  14. I was at the Tron on Friday before going to the Three Sisters. I can't say I was all that impressed with it, the only redeeming quality it had was the good looking Australian barmaid bunged me a Yellow Card cos I'd lost the one I blagged from TKs.
  15. The Usher Hall gig was fantastic. Mogwai really kicked ass. For them to finish with Stereodee from the EP was unprecedented (for me) but what a wall of noise! I got a pleasant surprise when they performed Yes! I am a long way from home and Mogwai Fear Satan from Young Team. Are the days of Helicon 1 & 2 and I am Batman gone forever? I hope not! I'm really looking forward to the Alber Hall event - BRING IT ON!
