You don't have to be a virtuoso to write a great song, but likewise if you are a virtuoso doesn't mean you can't write a great song. Meg White isn't a great drummer, but they've written some amazing songs. I genuinely don't believe she choses to play the way she does, I believe she plays what she does because she can't play anything else. That doesn't mean that what she plays is wrong or doesn't work. If she was a decent drummer why doesn't she play with The Raconteurs?

Maybe I'll buy a piano and do a concert playing only middle C on the 1 and 3. After all, I could play more if I wanted, but I'm choosing simplicity and if fits with the piece. Maybe I'll have a look in the classifieds to see if anyone needs a keyboard player. How hard can that be for a concert pianist?

She may be a drummer, but whether she can actually play drums is another story!!!!

I've been meaning to listen to this for ages, and I'm so glad I finally got round to it - it's fucking awesome! Reminds me a little of Miss Machine era Dillenger Escape Plan, which is no bad thing as that's my favorite album of theirs! I loved the track Corral. Initially I didn't care for the high vocals, but after listening to all the tracks on your myspace page I'm won over! The guitar sound tone is fantastic! It's been a very long time that I've been excited about a local band, but this really transcended all my expectations of the recordings. Great work guys! When are you playing live next?

I like his style, but he's definately not the best drummer of the last 25yrs. These polls really are pointless. Basically how many kids can you get to click a mouse. It's got nothing at all to do with drumming.

Find a good tutor and take some lessons - it'll be the best thing you ever do!

I'd also suggest Guru's Jazzmataz series of albums, and his Streetsoul album. Great hip-hop played by some jazz legends. Really smooth, mellow stuff. Might also be worth checking out some of the music behind hip-hop. I'd recommend The Chi-Lites (you'll be amazed how many of their songs you'll recognize), Gil Scott Heron, Curtis Mayfield and Marvin Gaye. There's also The Pimpz of Change who are worth listening to, despite not ever having any material written or recorded.

They were exceptionally dull live. Granted, I partly only went to see Herman Li playing guitar, but they looked like they couldn't be arsed. The keyboard player was undoubtedly very talented, but wouldn't have looked out of place on stage with Jedward!
