The sound is fantastic, and there's no doubting the musicianship. I love shred. I own 1 band t-shirt. That is a Dragonforce tour t-shirt. If I was to take the Pepsi challenge with you and Dragonforce, I couldn't tell the difference. If someone was to tell me that this was the new Dragonforce single I would believe them.

I had a ticket to see them in QMU in 1991. I didn't go as I was hungover, would have to have got a bus to Glasgow, and they were showing In Bed With Madonna at Hillhead Halls! They wrote great songs. Every album is great. I wish I'd gone to Glasgow that day.

I have a problem with my Marshall DSL401. It's become very noisy. It's basically a metallic sounding noise, sometimes crackly. When I tilt the amp forward it disappears and it's not really affected by volume. Was thinking it might be something to do with the reverb? Any ideas? Can I easily disconnect the reverb to see if that's the issue? Thanks for any advice!!

As far as I understand, the impedance rating on most amps relates to the minimum impedance cab you can safely use. Eg, if an amp is rated at 8 ohms, then it will deliver it's maximum output at this impedance. If you attach a cab rated at 16 ohms then all that's likely to happen is the amp won't be able to deliver it's maximum output. If you attached a cab rated at 4 ohms then the amp would get damaged, I believe most commonly it would be the output stage that would suffer. If in doubt, match your amp to your cab or use a cab with a higher impedance.

This is an interesting idea, and I've been following this with interest to see who bites!! It would be so much work though - not just for the promoters, but the bands involved too! Many folk have moved away and moved on. Subsistence were mentioned, and as great as it would be to play another show, I certainly can't remember any of our songs having not played them in eight years!!! And James is the only one still living in Aberdeen. I imagine many of the bands of yesteryear would be in a similar position. I can still remember how to play one of Liber8's songs though!!!!!!

Damo! The batteries will last aaaaaggggeeeesssssss in an active bass, so I'm assuming the guitar will be the same. Just keep a spare in your guitar case as a back up:-)

There's absolutely no problem with it at all. We had some spare studio time and for a laugh recorded a cover which turned out really well. We wanted to put it up on our myspace page but contacted the original artist first, and their management got back saying anyone can play anything they want.

They are super rare, and quite simply the best bass synth pedals ever made. You got a complete and utter bargain! To say I'm jealous is an understatement!!! I'd have gone to 400 plus a Boss Synth pedal, but holy crap that is crazy money!!

God, I have so many EP's from this era - My Decaying Leg, Liber8, We Become Less, Contra, Karloff, Subsistence, Electric Tibet, MeFM CD, numerous Fudge compilations, Popcorn Fiend to name but a few. Some are actually pretty good, some are best forgotten!!

I love it when we debut a new track and people still try to sing along thinking they know the words!!! I enjoy the whole aspect of it - writing, rehearsing, performing, travelling. There is no bigger buzz than spending weeks or months crafting a song that I love, and then seeing people you've never met before, or will never likely meet again, getting as much pleasure from it as I am! I'll never stop playing, but I'll likely end up in a jazz band at the end!!
