  1. I'm not quite following what the price of the guitar has to do with it? It's still not a cheap guitar in anyone's book. Definately get a pro to deal with it and it I'll be fine. I dropped a bass with a bubinga neck once leading to a very similar break. Despite worries that glue wouldn't work, 10 yrs down the line it's holding firm. It's definately worth spending a little bit of money and getting a decent job done.
  2. Last gig (other than festivals) that I went to was Belleruche at Bannermans in Edinburgh, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Next up will be Vintage Trouble at Ironworks, Inverness:-)
  3. Thanks - I have one of the seven band EQ amps in combo for. Not for me I'm afraid, sorry.
  4. Pics, spec and price of the Trace Elliot head please?
  5. What I didn't say though was that it was a cracking festival:-) Great atmosphere, great music, great food, great fun for the kids!! Disappointed to miss The Lorelei - The Potting Shed seemed to be running a little late, was it?
  6. In all, until 10pm last night it was a totally dry weekend. Even managed to get sunburnt!!!
  7. How much for the cat? Lol Beautiful bass. Sadly I too have gone off 5 stringers.
  8. You've made your point Robert. Some people thought that despite her troubles she was a great artist. Some people who appreciate her music will be sad she's died far too young.
  9. Totally fantastic photos! I really enjoyed looking at your website:-)
  10. Hey All, My band, The Leonard Jones Potential have our EP IV1 available for download now on iTunes. I know it's not going to be to everyones taste, but some of you might like it:up: The LJP on iTunes
  11. Capacity is around 10,000 to 12,000 I believe.
  12. Seedings stage - Saturday night. I think we're on at 10.15pm.
  13. I'm playing this year so will be there:-)
  14. What he said, especially the buy locally part.
  15. It's the experience of Belladrum that's it main attraction. You can know that your kids will be safe at Belladrum. It's generally a more mature audience and families rather than the party that you get at Rockness. The setting is pretty spectacular too:-)
  16. Sad - Mama Take My Hand, Aloe Blacc. It's the story of a mans relationship with his mother, and is one of the most moving songs I have ever heard. Makes even more sense when you have a child.
  17. Velvet Skye? Eh? Are they a joke band? Why are they not in the worst thing I've heard thread? That video was giving me travel sickness, and the bit in the middle with the distorted guitars sounds like a totally different song.
  18. I've started listening to Suede again recently. They had some really great tracks in the early years. In my view, the majority of their best stuff is B-Sides, with the exception of Stay Together which is up there with my favorite tracks of all time.
  19. That's right, but it was General Zod, not Coriolis. Please never speak of that gig again. I haven't been to Kemnay since!!!!
  20. That's it!! Backward fucks I think it was supposed to mean!!! I'm sure they had another name before that though! Also Holloblast deserve a mention. Not only for being ace, but for having the coolest guitars on the scene at the time!!
  21. Christ, this brings back memories! IIRC, Maple were called Pelt in the '90s. They were ace. One God Universe were utterly awesome! One of the finest bands I have seen in Aberdeen. I can still remember how some of the Men Lie tracks go to this day! Likewise Verge, and I can still remember how to play some of their stuff after seeing Nick playing and thinking "thats a great riff, I must nick that in a few years"!!!! Loveless were pretty cool. Did they not become pretty successful in the USA under the name APB? The Needles were formed in the 90's. No mention of the pre-Deadloss band that I can't remember the name of?!?!?!
  22. This is pretty bad too. It's a shame I can't find a video for Attack of the African Killer Bees:-(
