  1. I was being serious. If you asked me to take the Pepsi challenge with Busted and Blink 182, I'd probably get it wrong.
  2. Quite frankly, I can't see much difference between Busted and Blink 182. They sound much the same to me.
  3. It's not really a DIY job. I think R&B have prices for the job.....
  4. Lots and lots of wonga.....
  5. It should be pretty good. From what I can remember of Fools Gold, if you close your eyes it could very well be the Stone Roses.
  6. The pedal with no tension is the clutch, and the cable has eaten through the bulkhead.
  7. Nah, nah. You misunderstood. I was merely pointing out that just because someone stick a certain kind of pickup in their guitar, they won't sound like someone else. If you were to play Tom DeLonge's guitar, then you would sound nothing like him, and likewise if I was to play it too, I would sound nothing like you. Simple as that!! Next time you are practising, try swapping guitars with the other guitar player (if you have one, that is. erm sorry, I don't know) and you will see what I mean.....
  8. I think that there is alot more to a guitar sound than pickups. I believe that most of the sound is in your fingers, and the way you actually play.
  9. I would suggest Zombie Munch and Del should be on the panel. I think it would be unfair to have anyone involved with any of the bands on the panel, eg as Balck Atom are there, there should be nobody from Aubl etc.....
  10. The guy from the Charaltans uses one of those.
  11. SPINAL PAP. Not only the best live performance in Aberdeen, but the greatest show on earth.
  12. What the fuck is it with people hating Boss pedals? Why do you think the majotity of them are industry standard pedals. Look at the pedal board of almost any guitar player and you will find at least one Boss pedal.
  13. As Keilan said the Shredmaster is a wicked pedal. I use a Danelectro Fabtone, along with an EBS Octabass octave for my death bass!!! As for the compression question, you shouldn't really need one if you set you pedals correctly and your technique is sound. Ian, am I right? I like it when my bass is both DI'd and miked. It gives, for me, a better sound. I hate my bass just being DI'd. I didn't buy a quality amp to use it as a stage monitor.
  14. I can see we are going to get your typical replies here. For the best musicians look a bit further afield than the "in" bands in Aberdeen.
