I saw Saint Vincent and Eryka Badu at the Hollywood Bowl last night, definitely one of my favourite shows ever. Only disappointment was that Badu didn't play longer. I was really surprised by how much of a show Saint Vincent put on. Her saving definitely shows signs of having spent a lot of time with David Byrne. I also saw Allie X the night before and I'm going to Miguel on Wednesday.

I don't buy it being that easy for City. They've never won it comfortably before, they always make it difficult for themselves. Teams have made more impressive starts to a season before and not gone on to win the title. Far too early to call.

The new FKA Twigs EP which is my favourite new thing for a while. Also a load of Erykah Badu as I'll be seeing her live on Sunday.

The new lad the Dons have got on loan sounds like he could be a bit mental. The Belgrade fans certainly aren't sad to see him go.

3000? Ouch that is poor. It wasn't given the best chance though. Brighton are not a huge draw and the Europa league means fans have already had chances to see the team despite the league not being underway.

What I really want to know is will Newcastle players be good in my fantasy team or not?

The Wind Up Bird Chronicle is the best Murakami. The wild sheep chase and Kafka... are my other favorites. However if you really like his style of writing you'll probably find any of his books worth reading, even the ones where the story isn't as interesting.

Fantastic result which I also didn't expect. I had quite a bad feeling going into the tie.

I really liked Everything Is Illuminated. The film was good too but if I remember right there are a few big differences between the two.

Definitely give it a listen if you haven't yet. I find it to be very consistent throughout so if you like the singles you should find a lot more you enjoy on it.

I've been listening to the new MIguel album a lot this week. It's definitely one of my favourite albums from the year so far. For older stuff, I've been listening to some PJ Harvey and The Holy Bible by the Manics for the first time in a while. I sometimes forget just how much that album stands above the rest of their discography.

It's strange to say after the last few years but United are doing the best business this summer aren't they? Not too much info in the media, deals done early, getting players they want. 49mil for Sterling is mental.

I saw inside out today. I thought it was great and up there with Pixar's best.

I doubt this is true of more than an extremely small minority. Good signing for United though. I think he probably has a good few seasons left in the tank. Is Sneiderlin really worth all the effort going into getting him? Genuine question because actually I didn't see that much of Saints last season. How much better is he than Cabaye who went to Palace of all teams?

I like the all out attack one. They should call it the Kevin Keegan chip. I don't think I like the change to the wildcard rules.

Actually I haven't seen it yet but I was thinking of making it the next show I'd start. I don't know anything about it other than Netflix is pushing it every time I'm on it. I just wanted to check it wasn't shit before starting out.
