  1. Cersei getting taken by the sparrows was obvious but it happened sooner than I expected. I'm happy it didn't get drawn out longer. In the same way I was pleasantly surprised Tyrion and Jorah met Danaerys so quickly.
  2. I would like a single plum, floating in perfume, served in a man's hat.
  3. Except sepp's not involved at all and it has nothing do with Qatar. It's a start but hopefully there is a lot more to come.
  4. This season has been okay but not great. Generally the stories just aren't as interesting as before and the show is missing some of the great characters that have been killed off.
  5. I'm delighted Norwich won yesterday. Alex Neil seems like a good guy and potentially a top class manager. It's good that the premier league didn't go too long without a Scot in charge. I don't mind seeing Madrid make stupid decisions but as a fan of Ancelotti I'm sorry to see him get sacked. Considering all the club went through to win "la decima" the fact he got it should allow him at least one trophy-less year. It's just like his Chelsea experience. He stabilized the post mourinho mess and won the league playing great football, one year later he was gone because he couldn't quite repeat it.
  6. When will the media accept that everyone HATES Gerrard and stop all these shite articles?
  7. It was a fantastic match. The best I've seen in quite a while. It feels a but strange that it's ended with such a decisive win for barcelona as by the time they scored it felt like their best chances might have already come and gone. A Barca - Juve would be great and it's a match up which hasn't been seen loads of times already in the recent years.
  8. The Juve - Madrid game was pretty good. Juve deserved the win and it's probably the best result for setting up a good second leg. Another fairly anonymous performance from Bale last night, I wonder how much money it would take for him to be sold this summer. I'm very interested in how Bayern are going to set up tonight. I wouldn't be surprised if they set up quite deep and defensively. Like the other semi I'm hoping for a home win with both sides scoring to keep it interesting.
  9. There was a superb level of finishing in the Barca - Getafe match last night. https://youtu.be/0t913tdQTq0?list=PLKj1QUtwqLN_9fg_CHhc_5dXTOe64qhZH
  10. Surely hiding someone from your feed is the better option than deleting someone. You don't have to see their shite but still can if you ever want to for some reason and you avoid any awkward situations. Hiding my mum's posts was one of the best things I've done to improve my facebook experience.
  11. I got 16 too. There are some cracking photos in there.Ian Marshall's barnet is something special.
  12. Good episode to kick things off. I hadn't realized Varys would go away with Tyrion, I'm much more excited about his story now.
  13. I don't get it either, I completely agree with soda jerks post. It annoys me too much to make any effort to get something good out of it.
  14. Whatever you're running for, don't fucking tell me about it!
  15. I bloody loved Nigel Pepper! We needed dome madness to distract us from the shite football at the time. Anyone remember Haroldur Ingulfson? He had one impressive half as a trialist and then did nothing ever again once he got a contract. They got the manager spot on, there can't be any doubt about that. Miller was complete shite, only McGhee comes close. Another interesting team to make would be a disappointing XI. Players who got your hopes up but then never fulfilled them. Belabed and Hignett are straight into my team.
  16. I've fancied getting one of these for a while, I think I might finally get one soon how much do they usually cost nowadays?
  17. The new Tallest Man On Earth album is out, most comments I've read are a little negative but i love all his work so I'm sure I'll like it even if it's not as good as his other albums. My favourite album of the year so far is certainly the Kendrick Lamar, which has been spoken about in the hip hop thread. Some others I've really enjoyed are the new Father John Misty which I think is a big step up from his debut. The Zenker Brothers and Levon Vincent have both delivered great techno albums as I hoped they would, while the best surprise of the year has been how good the new Bjork album is. Her strongest in a long time. The Logos and Mumdance album deserves a mention too. Levon Vincent - https://youtu.be/oAhPV-bfI3E Father John Misty - https://youtu.be/caMfvhKIgBo(full album)
  18. Anyway, I'll try and do a singles post soon and maybe update that spotify play list if anyone is interested, or maybe even if they're not and i feel like doing it for myself.
  19. I've just realised I haven't posted in this thread all year!! That's not good enough at all. So here's a quick overview of my favourite pop albums of the year so far. My favourite is definitely the new album from Susanne sundfor, Ten Love Songs. At points this albums veers off into various different genres but at hearts it's great electropop. The kind which Scandinavians seem to do so easily and so much better than anyone else. https://youtu.be/3492o3pfEWI https://youtu.be/EpykeGxba7M The other standout of 2015 is Kicker by Zella Day. I was a big fan of the single Sweet Ophelia last year and the album manages to live up to the hope that song gave me. The guardian once described her as a happier lana del rey. The comparison is a bit lazy but at times not completely off the mark. https://youtu.be/Ta3OsyNCuvs https://youtu.be/3YiCsblKxDc There's also a new Marina and the Diamonds album out which if you like her previous stuff you might like, you might not. I doubt it will win her any new fans. I think it's decent but definitely not as good as Electra Heart which I love. https://youtu.be/H7z19xLjNXs edit - it's been a while? how do we get youtube videos to embed nowadays? I thought we just had to paste the share link?
  20. I can't really commit to this at the moment, I've enjoyed taking part in it and it's probably the best idea anyone on this forum has had in a while but I just haven't been finding the time for it lately. If enough people are interested to keep it going I might try to pop in and out but I don't feel I should get to choose albums or be relied on to keep it going.
  21. I approve of that way of thinking.
  22. When it comes to Man U - Real games my favourite has always been the 3-2 in 2000 with Redondo being wonderful. The best football I've seen live was probably when Barcelona beat Bayern 4-0 in the 2009 champions league quarter final. But the best match was Aberdeen beating Celtic 3-2 with Regi Blinker scoring an own goal, Nark Perry scoring from 500 yards and Jim Leighton saving 100 penalties.
  23. It is...different. If I was just to compare the city I live in now with what Barcelona has to offer, it doesn't really come close. However, living here is very interesting and there are other things, like my job, which make me very happy I came.
