  3. Lach returns to The Tunnels!!! The Father of Antifolk stops by the tunnels on Tuesday 7th August to play one of his exciting, bouncy acoustic sets! The Antifolk movement that Lach started in the early eighties has produced such well-known performers as Beck, Regina Spektor, The Moldy Peaches, Hamell on Trial and many more. The man is as witty as he is talented - twas a hoot an'a holler when he played Aberdeen last time round - This 'een aint to be missed - the reviews say it all: NYC's living legend, riotously catchy! - Timeout London A strange and brilliant musical mind - Billboard **** Four Stars! Splendid, best of it's kind!"-Mojo Magazine Lach is the mastermind of Antifolk, a loose concept involving acoustic guitars and punk-rock attitude, like a Lower East Side rendezvous of Bob Dylan and Patti Smith. Like black snow, stalled subway cars and random violence, Lach is a Manhattan institution. - NY Times Support from Holy Folks + guests woop. Lach WebsiteLach Myspace
  4. when are Evil Nine playing? that'll be a night and a half!
  5. they were so good! Best 'indy' band ive seen in the tunnels for awhile! got their CD - recommend them big time (MySpace.com - www.myspace.com/thesuzukis) the dead 60s were fucking gash - boring shite!
  6. amen to that - mind that night with 35p sambucas and 50p pints. The horror! Must cheak out the O'Neils Rock night when it returns! for manowar alone!
  7. y'learn something new about Dan everyday!
  8. i like the couple of seconds (bout 1 minute 12 seconds in) where either the guitars sound synthy or MMW have taken on a synth player.
  9. i feel sorry for his girl...she must be an idiot...
  10. amen. why?...at what stage in his life did he think it was a good idea to put that video on youtube? i feel like a twat for watching this...
  11. jeezuzz!111 thats a golden oldie - i played that to death back in the day...my wee brother stole it from me tho
  12. what an amazing show - i cant put it into words!! moshulu is awful for live bands...the bar staff are shit...and grumpy...and ugly... the bouncers are amazing tho!!! mike skinner is god.
  13. not to be confused with the childrens TV program 'LAZY TOWN' is something 'kill off' nu-metal? last time i cheaked it never died. I agree with what hairyscarymark said "..it ran it's course a bit and lost it's audience to other styles" ....yet i didnt 'move onto' any of the styles you stated....i only listen to the tap in my kitchen dripping.
  14. im backing this statement! shes a twatty bugger.
  15. all buses are sold oot. yadda. anyway. we only need a lift back now - anyone got a seat??? PLZ HELP!
  16. we're getting stuck for finding a cheapish way of getting down due to happy bus faffing up our booked tickets (its a long story). Can anyone help us out? we have money and stuff! xxx
  17. bloody nice chap! can i ask for you on the door even if im over 18?
  18. i'll be looking out for other panda eyes acoustic things... i dont really have any feedback that will be of any use...just thought it was boring - a really forgetable set of songs.the vocals were affa bland...but on the flip side the singer lassy was fit!!!
  19. hey - you two (panda eyes) worked really well - prefered it to the whole band to be honest! the rest of the bands really need work - nae good at'aah!!
  20. aye the first tune is a bit dodgy but the second is class!!! Good Job! two thumbs! i laughed at the shite banter. Good job guys!
  21. from what i rememebr that was a pretty good gig - i was and still am pretty wasted on beer and gin! first of all well done to paul for putting the night on - he did a good job of putting the boxing ring ropes up and getting a fit lassy to walk about stage before every band. Farmyard Collective are a nice wee up and coming 3 piece folky type band! enjoyed them very much! FatRBs...well, tonight was the worse they have EVERY played - yet it was also some of the best stage banter ive heard/seen for a long time! Highlight was when Gav took his jeans down - NICE!! Onion Terror - lots of great new tunes - and the tightest gig ive seen thm play ever!!! the jpg of a bassist has made a big impression on making the band better - punk/funk/ska/rubbish jokes - you cant ask for more.. i'm too wasted to rememebr what we did - jenny made us a wee recording of it - will have a listen tomorrow tell you what i think.. xxx
