  1. wrong. wrong. wrong. wrong. i saw them at ATP in May. If you like their records it was pretty hard not to enjoy the live show. You'd be silly to miss them!
  2. hats-allowed policy is best! stripey brings up lots of good points. try this on for size. me and my friend martin (who pretty much wears his hat all the time) were meeting people in that place sin (dont ask me why we we're going there it sucks).. martin was told to take his hat off once we got to the bar, he said no and we were asked to leave. On the way out we saw a groupe of guys - two of which were wearing turbans. Ok i understand they wear them because of their religion (or whatever) but is that a reason for the rules to not apply for everyone??
  3. aye thats my old flat mate and good friend martin. he's going places.
  4. god, you act like such a teenager. i can really relate to that france ferdinand lyric "cheak out my friends, they are all so artie" coz they are. haha.
  5. ive listened to all the tunes - i've enjoyed most of them (FO1 best of all) and i will be interested to see u gig. absolutely rubbish name though! :puke:

  8. i dunno - i really like it! the really busy intro is a good start to a pretty moody song. i prefer it to Henri Got Cancer.
  9. many have said the keiran hebden & steve reid duo was better than the latest atp performance. i missed envy for the field who were also good.
  10. what a fucking good een! had so much fun... short list of the best bands i saw! BATTLES The National ..an' y'ill ken us by the trail o'deed Ghostface killar & Reakwon The Field Animal Collective Silver Jews i must mention Four Tet was rubbish. nae impressed.oh. and ADEM were boring - took ages to sound/line cheak then played the most dull set.
  11. i just got a new turn table to spin their record i bought at the show just passed. let that be a reson to me. bummer
  12. saw them on friday but missed them on saturday. The didnt play start choppin witch is the most teenager song ever written! i didnt think they were too loud - i could name 5 others i saw this weekend who killed my hearing.
  13. i also will be seeing them TWICE this weekend - only i will be right down the front screaming the lyrics and rocking out.
  14. does any of this really matter? i mean - you cant take 8bit music with you when you die? so whats all the moaning about? thats my thought of the day...
  15. i met him. nice bloke. if i had a chance i'd kill two squirrels. hell, id kill all the squirrels.
  16. brilliant band. gonna see them support portishead on the 12th April.
  17. affa big fan of tom waits. Holy Folks now and again pop out a Jockey full of Bourbon cover version. Tom Waits The Asylum Years cd currently spins round my cd player. I Never Talk To Strangers with Bette Midler is such a cute wee tune and Tom Traubert's Blues & Blue Valentines are classics! Rain Dogs is a good album but The Black Rider is my favourite - there is something so wonderful about it.
  18. aye - our drummer has quit. rubbish eh? i'll be doing the glasgow date as an acoustic man and we have a fill in drummer for the wishes gig. Jazz the drummer fae valentine is gonna be the first holy folks lassy. its only a one off and shes only ever heard our songs once. p.s) anyone know anyone who plays drums and would like to join the holy folks?
