What is the worst tattoo you have ever seen?
Porter replied to Lee Anderson's topic in General Discussion
Straight after getting my tattoo i really regretted it but now that the panic is over i've really grown to love it. I think that as long as tattoos mean something to the person who has them then thats cool. I have many more plans for more tattoos but i'm gonna wait a while to be sure or not. It's really early. Ugh. xxx -
What does everyone think of the new smoking laws
Porter replied to JaseyBoi's topic in General Discussion
The thing i worry about is that say you have a full club and you then have to send 50 drunken neds (for example) outside to smoke, surely the trouble on the streets is going to be far worse than before? xxx -
I had a sore tooth the other day so I called the nearest dentist to my house and said "Hello. My teeth hurt. Help me." They managed to see me that day and have subsequently had no problems giving me more apointments. I have an awful problem with my nerves or something they discovered so need alot of work done. As a full-time student who is 18 I get free treatment, but I've been told by my dentist that even if you're in FT education, if you are 19 or over, you pay. You can however apply for help in paying medical bills, the form you get from the post office for this is 'HC 1' although the woman also mentioned HC 2 and HC 3. That is all I know. EDIT: This is Stuart, not porter, some twit spilled on my laptop so I'm using Rach's computer and forgot to log her out. Buggeration.

I dropped a knife on my foot and had to get two stitches and a tetnus (sp?) jab. I really should have listened to the whole "how to carry a knife" talk we got in primary school! Anyway i thought it was kidna funny hence the thread! Think about it xxx

This did cross my mind as well which was why i thought it was true. Maybe the under-funding has gone to their heads. xxx

When i did advanced higher music i was the only one in my class doing one of the papers. I was sat on my own in the exam room with two invigilators and a technician. I felt a little over-powered and it really didn't help that one tapped along, one hummed and one kept asking if i was alright. xxx

My mum sent me this email that she got from one of the people she works with at the hospital. Sorry if its bull shit or if there is already a thread about this... just thought you guys should know. If it's true then its scary stuff... This message is serious and has been passed to us from Cheshire RFU. Could you please cascade as quickly as possible as this came through our NHS web page. For your information, a couple of weeks ago, in the odeon cinema, Festival Park, a person sat on something sharp in one of the seats. When she stood up to see what it was, a needle was found poking through the seat with an attached note saying, "you have been infected with HIV". The Centres for Disease Control in Birmingham, reports similar events have taken place in several other cities recently. ALL of the needles tested HAVE been found positive for HIV. The CDC also reports that needles have been found in the coin return areas of pay phones and coke machines. Everyone is asked to use extreme caution when confronted with these types of situations. All public chairs should be thoroughly but safely inspected prior to any use. A thorough visual inspection is considered the bare minimum. Further more, they ask that everyone notify their familymembers and friends of the potential dangers, as well. The previous information was sent from hanley police station to all of the local councils in the Staffs area and was interdepartmentally dispersed. We were all asked to pass this to as many people as possible. xxx

I have a few strange classes for my course. English for journalists is probably the strangest. Its basically how to construct sentences. We had a whole lecture on commas. Thrillingly insulting stuff, made stranger by the fact that we're all supposed to be published writers. xxx

I used to get that bus all the time. Has anyone been on the night bus driven by Dumbledoor? He's great. There are no late night subway trains... xxx

Probably my living room. It was enjoyable but i think Alex Broken Sunshine and Frodo had the most fun that day *wink wink, nudge nudge* xxx

I am also a short bastard and it does always amaze me how so many tall people can choose to stand in the same place. A thing that really pisses me off at gigs is when you go to stand near the front (you know, away from the tall people) and there are people swinging punches in the mosh pit. Dance how you want but come on! xxx

I failed my theory test first time... never felt so stupid in my whole life. Passed my driving test first time though... surprised everyone. To be honest, they really shouldn't have passed me. Just before I left Aberdeen I just about killed Stuart and I... xxx

Right, I can give you directions to the Barfly but i've only lived here for two weeks so i'm not 100% sure how to describe it. Basically head down to the river, if you're coming from town, if you cross the river you've gone too far, if not, you're doing great! Its one of the buildings about half way along the river on the right hand side. If you're (for some strange reason) coming from the other side, go past the GCNS, take a left which will be a bridge, cross and go left, its about 10 mins most on foot along the water. Sorry directions are so crap but hopefully that'll make some sence. Do you know if theres any tickets left? xxx
