the ravensby made some mice noises but didn't seem to go anywhere. Fickle Public were great, still not as good in my eyes as purple munkie were but they're improving every time. The needles struggled against the odds (a man down, sound not being great) to deliver a good solid set. And ended on teenage bomb, which meant I left with a nice large smile on my face.

fuck no. the dance floor is for the majority to hve fun, not for the minority to beat each other senseless. By all means mosh but you have to have consideration for others, and if people are getting injured because of anothers actions in the pit then there's obviously a line being crossed somewhere. Alternative does not mean the most violent pit in the world. It just means offering something different to the mainstream.

fret markers also make it easier to figure out what other people are playing. as they provide reference points on the neck for you to quickly see where someone's fingers are. That's the only useful reason I can think of for experienced guitarists to need fret markers.

my flatmate asked me to post this. he's lost his jacket and thinks he left it at moshulu on wednesday night (he came home in a very inebriated state so it's entirely possible). it's a brown jacket with a sheepskin style lining and should (he hopes) have a nokia phone and a bank card in it. He's tried phoning the club but hasn't managed to get through. Don't suppose any of the staff that read these forums have spotted it have they?

at gigs if people are using my amp I tend to stick around and make sure they now what does what on it, and that there's no problems so I know it's gonna be ok when I go to use it. the only thing that really annoys me is when people use it as a table (still has a big stain on it from a pint glas at one gig) or people make it go pop when they finish using it (a certain dedalus guitarist does this every time I lend him the fucking thing). but with everything in music a little consideration goes a long way.

you should just do what a friend of mine did once. he and a friend were refused entry to exodus for being too drunk. they went round the corner, swapped jackets and walked straight in 5 minutes later.
