Guest Scorge Spike
Don't use Ebay full stop, I think it's a piece of shite. I prefer hunting for specialist auctions across the country and bidding by the ol' dog and bone. So old fashioned I know, but nowt beats the thrill of a real live auction....... Chris
mouse, how do you know it didn't work? If I were you I'd change your ebay password anyway, just to be safe. And as a general rule no-one will ask for your password over email for things like this. And if they do, phone their support line to verify it first.
David
thats a pretty old scam, ebay will never ask for your deatails like that, most certainly over emailto be safe i would cancel the account, as if you filled in all the information, you may have been luicky and the info didnt go through, but it might have... so to be on the safe side i would probably cancel the account or at least change all the passwords ot stop anyone getting into the account and using itDavid

At least it never worked![/quote']how is it convincing ?no online account ever asks you to "confirm information" via an email.if anything, they'd point you to a secure log in screen on their website. It's the masked URL's that make "bogus" websites look like Ebay / Bank account sites that scare me.Any shite email I get like that , I bin them straight away. threeornothing
Just prey you have no credit cards registered on your account, else they may be getting cleared as we type...always avoid pish that looks like the following.....Ok, thats a bit far fetched, but believe me that sort of shit is rife in peoples mail boxes every day! A bit of common sense goes a long way....I would switch ISP's however as its a bit worrying that their mail server didn't do some sort of DNS reverse lookup or SPF lookup....
