Rachie
I really really really really need to see it, but haven't yet
Rass
saw it on saturday, it was fucking awesome, i may go into a tad more detail when it's not 4am but yeah, Kirk was awesome, i think he came off the best out of all of them. Lars, well he was an arse before and he still is, tho it was intresting getting inside his head a bit, James came across alot more self centered and maybe even power hungry than i'd imagined him to be, tho you have to feel a bit of sympathy after all he went through. And Bob Rock, well i have alot more admiration for him as he was a total cunt in 'Year and a Half' but im still not understanding at what point he became a 'member' of the band.Alot of quality moments tho! Awesome film, will definitly be seeing it again before it stops showing.
April Ethereal
I thought it was a great film. I kept waiting for either Lars or Dave Mustaine or both to burst in to tears during the meeting because they were both bloody close to it. James Hetfield is a moody cunt when he doesn't get his way or if someone has a contrasting opinion and that was AFTER he came out of rehab. Lars' dad and Cliff Burnstein rule!!!! April Ethereal
much respect for lars' dad beard and telling him where to go with that intro track!Tho i am starting to think someone has a big beard fantasy;) Burnstein AND lars' dad hmmm (scratches imaginary beard)No beard fetishes here, although one of my mates was caught at a party watching beard porn!(Don't ask me what beard porn is, I wasn't there) Maybe its rubbing off on me and I don't even know it! I thought the intro track was pretty cool but if that cropped up on a Metallica record, I probably wouldnt like it.
Joe Atom
I thought Bob Rock was a total cock actually... and the relationship counsellor should have been kicked in the balls

Mouse
Ahh it was brilliant. I got a lot more respect for the band now. The funny bits where when James & Lars were total arguing, and the bit where Lars said we're going shove a million dollars up your ass (or something to that affect) then James goes yeah one by one. Tav
Ohh my I am so proud to be a Metallica fan! The film is great! What mouse is refering to is Lars doing a thing for a radioshow prize draw. LARS "I'm going to stick 50 grand up your ass..." JAMES "one dollar at a time!" They looked so uncomfortable doing it! Highlights include, Lars' dad's beard. Mighty! All the arguments. Hetfields hot rod. Seeing James at his little girls ballet rehersal was funny. Dave Mustaine speaking to Lars about wishing he had never left Metallica and all the shit he has gotten over the years...it was very open...and brutually honest. Rass
Dave actually had a major beef about the bits they used for that segment because he comes across like he didnt believe in megadeth, the whole "what have i achieved in the last 15 years, nothing, what have you achieved, you're the biggest band on the planet" bit
Mouse
I heard a lot of the Mustaine footage was edited in a way to make him look less superior.
Hog
I can see why Dave Mustaine has a problem. He obviously has a rare song writing talent i.e. In my darkest hour, Holy wars, Symphony of Destruction etc but lived in the shadow of Metallica. Mustaine became successful in his own right but I reckon that a Mustaine/Hetfield band would of been both a strain but also one hell of a riff factory! Demon Of The Fall
Really great filmJames: my Hero, so it was kind of hard to see him acting like that...hes still a God thoughLars: Really funny and has won me over againKirk: Utter legend, funniest guy ever (esp. when he gets annoyed!)The thing that pissed me off the most was the "board meeting" to decide the name of the album. Why the hell should it be anyone elses decision apart from James, Lars and Kirk? The guys saying "I could see it being St. Angers day" were clearly only looking for a good marketing name as opposed to what the band wanted. Skamikazee
Excellent film. The whole Mustaine bit was really interesting as was the rest of the film. The bassist audition bit was pretty cool, i didnt realise Twiggy and some of those other guys had auditioned.Lars' dad is a legend.
