New unique event for Aberdeen.

The 30th of October sees the first of a series of multi media and new music events to take place 'on' the Castlegate. Dr Drake's promotions and Peacock Visual Arts in conjunction with the City Centre Partnership are organising this event that will, for the first time, see a combination of visual arts, performance and live music being presented together in the city. This, as yet, untitled event will take place on the above date in a very large marquee in front of the monument on the Castlegate, between the hours of 2-9pm. There will be a bar attached to the main marquee and it is free entry!!!!!

The four musical acts confirmed are:

KASULE www.kasule.co.uk

URSULA MINOR www.ursulaminor.co.uk

KATHERINE SAWERS

STACCATO SET

As well as this there will be digital video installations, art exhbitions from Peacock, Limousine bull artist collective and more to be confirmed.

This is a new a very progressive move for and by the city.

Meetings are on going regarding promotion etc.

Watch this and other spaces!

kasule are looking forward to heading North once again....we'll be playing a brand new song which will hopefully blow Aberdeen away, a couple of songs off our new album (which we're trying to get a label to release) + some old favourites from demonstration.

Also this time it's all four of us... which will be special.

+ we're looking forward to seeing our old friends Ursula Minor...

see you all on the 30th -

tee kasule..

  • 4 weeks later...

well this event has been organised by us, Dr Drakes, and Peacock Visual Arts (yes they ran A.S.S) and the Wider Castlegate Group, with support from Aberdeen City Centre Partnership and Aberdeen City Council and backed by the Scottish Executive's City Growth Fund. Limousine Bull and Stray Dog artist collectives and A.S.E (Aberdeen Street Entertainers) are also involved

What?!

It's actually happening?!!!!! I was beginning to think this was all a test in how to spend government money on something good for a change... Ooooooooooh I'm excited. Looks great all written down. This could and will be the first of more if it's deemed a success, which it already is because it's taking place!
