Most changed voice in a career

I guess there's only a finite time singers like Chris Cornell and Bruce Dickinson who have "high-gain" vocals can last.

Ian Gillan was one of Rock's finest vocalists, yet I saw Deep Purple at the Armadillo a couple of years ago and was borderning on inept.

A strange one is Robert Plant. His voice completely went in the 90's, yet I saw a recent live performace he did with Alison Krauss and he sounded fantastic. Maybe a rest and the change of style allowed his voice to repair itself?
