Jaaakkkeee
I have no idea, I was actually going to ask the same question...
Paranoid Android
That's an acceptable reason. Not that I watched the baseball but I don't want to be like one of those angry dicks that complains about missing cash in the attic because of Wimbledon. Soda Jerk
American TV seasons are weird though. They seem to take certain weeks off all at the same time. Last season there was a 3 week break in April for some reason. Why they showin' sports and sitcoms on the same channel anyway? We don't put One Foot in the Grave on Eurosport. Sort it out, America.
Paranoid Android
Thanksgiving is another day it all goes to shit isn't it. Whose dumb idea was it to organise thanksgiving for the same day new sitcoms are aired? The descendants of at least one of those pilgrims should be made to say sorry. Soda Jerk
They shouldn't be cancelling sitcoms for Thanksgiving. They should be cancelling Thanksgiving.Sorry guys. Office is on. How about we do it tomorrow?
Jaaakkkeee
That's exactly what it should be like.Occupy NBC?
Woodsinho
I like Thanksgiving because it means that there are NFL games to watch on both Thursday and Sunday of the same week. I'm generally ok with sport taking over from sitcoms because I love sport. I don't love baseball though. They show the FA Cup final in place of Columbo on ITV on a Saturday afternoon. That's basically the same thing, right?
Monster Zero
Just watched Season 1 of 'The Walking Dead' after picking it up dirt cheap in my local supermarket. Or rather, it seemed dirt cheap until I realised it was only 6 episodes long. Ho hum. Great show in any case. I've never read the comic book so I can't get arsed about how accurately they have followed it.

Monster Zero
I was dawdling past Forbidden Planet on Saturday afternoon and nipped in to see how much the books were, never realised there were 14 of the fuckers….at 10-pound odd per book it's a pricey collection. Will probably try and collect up cheap via Amazon...
Gypsum_Fantastic
i just got the first 3 (a 2 for one offer) and then downloaded all the rest but
Monster Zero
Unfortunately, much like my aversion to downloading, I don't fancy reading comics on a PC, I would rather have the hard copy. Sadly I have these probably inexplicable habits which die hard and cost me more....
Gypsum_Fantastic
i would much prefer to have them as a real thing but as you say the cost is a bit much. I would have waited but i got hooked very quickly, i have not been that engrosse din a story in a long long time.

Gypsum_Fantastic
When Merrell got out the bag of antibiotics it had blue crystal meth in it.ok i thought you meant an easter egg to the comics or something and it was Daryl who got the bag out (it was his brother's stash though)
Diesel
I'm currently watching the entire series of Twin Peaks from start to finish (currently at Season 2, episode 9 of 22) - then I'll watch the movie.I hadn't seen TP in 20 years and it's just as good as I remember it, though the older me has less tolerance for the "silly" characters (e.g. Deputy Andy) and unnecessary side plots (e.g. Ed & Nadine, Leo's wheelchair confinement). It's a landmark piece of television with just about everything thrown into the mix. Characters that are played purely straight (e.g. Big Ed, Sheriff Truman, Norma Jennings, Doc Hayward), to quirky (Agent Cooper, Pete Martell, Albert) to downright out there (Nadine, Killer Bob, Leland Palmer).Twin Peaks isn't everyone's cup of tea - there's a lot of filler and sections that drag, but the really great set-pieces more than make up for it.Go watch it!

Paranoid Android
And it gets better. Season 3 is amazing.Twin Peaks is great. I've only seen it once, which was about a year or so ago. The first season is close to perfect, second starts great but then has a big dip but thankfully comes back to it's best by the end.
MattJimF
I remember sitting watching Twin Peaks on a tuesday night after quantum leap on BBC 2 many many years ago. Then sitting watching it all again when at uni, very odd, but brilliant show.
Skubbs
Watching all of House HMV and Play.com had the seasons on offer and I happily completed my collection. I love Hugh Laurie, and although it is getting a bit predictable (not enjoying Season 4 as much as the rest), I still enjoy it
