Guest idol_wild
I have Take Refuge in Clean Living and I just haven't got into it yet. Yet. That was released this year too, productive year for them if they also have a full lengther out.

Verging on 'prog' but stays just the right side of it. Some nice hooks though
vega
Super band! Ain't heard any of the stuff they've put out this year but I'll get round to it. I read that the new album is meant to be darker? The early albums are really good (Burden of Hope and Redlight). They seem productive peeps. Panda Strong
Burden of Hope is AMAZING.The rest....hmmm. The whole psychedelic Led Zeppelin Easter Sitar music does very little for me
Alkaline
I really like Redlight and the Black Tar Prophecies stuff. Not heard much of the rest.
Bonesaw Bazz
Love this band. Got there entire back catalogue as far as i'm aware... along with a Black Sabbath cover off some comp. It's predomanantly 1 guy.... who has just joined Om. Is it just me, or does the bassline on the 1st track of the new LP start off sounding as if it's gonna play the American Nation Anthem... but doesn't. haha
Guest treader.
Broken Ballad, Reprieve and New Lystra are the only songs that do anything for me.
stuartmaxwell
canon hymn babyLove this band, seen em a few times and they were absolutely outstanding. Still to this day one of the best bands I have ever seen. The middle eastern stuff is mindblowing live, but doesnt quite capture me on record.Burden of Hope and Redlight are two classic "aberdeen" records for meI'll need to check out this one, cheers for the heads up Jim
Huw
the only stuff i've heard is burning off impurities of something along those lines...burden of hope the one to go for aye?
Alan Cynic
Funnily enough I just got a letter from a mate in Kirkcaldy, telling me how much he enjoyed Grails live in Louisville, Kentucky recently. I still haven't heard them.
stuartmaxwell
BOH or Redlight is a good start for Grails, both are excellentthe darker stuff doesnt quite quite have the same *shiver down neck* factor as those albums upon first listens

I was reminded of this just a wee while back and had to dig my Grails stuff out! The latest is a dark album though.
