Nev
Managed to resist until today. It's worth the wait
Nev
Further to the above, like Because of the Times, it's not an "immediate" album, but after a few listens its a real grower.Particularly impressed with "Be Somebody", "Use Somebody" and "Revelry" at the moment
Guest idol_wild
I have never been interested or bothered by Kings of Leon in any way, but I do think the current single Sex is on Fire is a total tune.Terrible lyrics and negligable substance, but the tune itself is a beezer. Good chorus. Good guitars. Good drums.
Jeanette
The lyrics are indeed awful.Although, most of the time I don't have a clue what he's singing!

Molly's Chamber, The Bucket, Charmer and Sex Is On Fire, all are cracking songs.
hamstir
It so bland it's beige, only good thing about it is it's short
Old Gold
They're not obscenely bad, but I don't see why they deserve to be extremely popular when the likes of Band of Horses and My Morning Jacket do similar stuff (far better) yet are relatively obscure in this country.
TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
They're not obscenely bad, but I don't see why they deserve to be extremely popular when the likes of Band of Horses and My Morning Jacket do similar stuff (far better) yet are relatively obscure in this country.Yes and no... I was never a fan until "Because the Times" came out, which is a fantastic record, especially in how they had developed terms of what the band had released previously. After seeing them at the AECC I was very disappointed, and "Sex on Fire" sounds like a stadium rawk version of Kings of Leon.Band of Horses should be more popular though. MikeyEB
Band of Horses should be more popular though.Yes they should, they are ace live too.
Jeanette
I third* the fact that Band of Horses should be more popular.*or is it fourth?!
hamstir
If you like Band of Horses you can do no worse than checking out Constantines
Darth Elvis
Love love love Band of Horses! Saw them at Roskilde this year and their new material sounds awesome! They played a new one that the keyboard player sang and it gave me chills, awesome stuff!!!!
Swingin' Ryan
The albums growing on me and Manhattan, Crawl and Revelry are brilliant. I do still yearn for the unpolished clanking and yelping of their first two albums, Trani from the first album remains the best thing they've ever done.P.S. I further the motion that Band Of Horses are amazing.
Old Gold
If you like Band of Horses you can do no worse than checking out ConstantinesI don't think they're all that similar personally, but The Constantines are indeed phenomenal also! Mouse
I just got it yesterday. BOTT was a little step away from the first two albums yet they still sounded like KOL. The new album sounds a lot different to BOTT and more like U2. Most the songs are ok, some are meh. Hopefully it's a grower
Monster Zero
I kinda prefered KoL's sound during the first couple of albums, bit rougher sounding, but the last 2 albums are stronger in terms of song quality consistency. Must be said, when I bought the first album I never envisaged them becoming as big as they are now....Band of Horses are ace, sound f-all like KoL though....
