Dayeth
clickyI did this trailer for a game I built in the Unreal Engine inspired by Pirates of the Carribean, Lost, X-Files, Crystal Maze and some other stuff...Tell me what you think. Honestly.
framheim
looks quite nifty, only thing i don't like is the double writing thing.
Wishbone G
Yeh it looked cool. I liked the kinda twist at the end of it as well. Only critical point I can make is that some of the graphics were really kinda... well, pants. The skybox and object model of the dude on the beach (as well as his animation) in particular. Scootray
Reminds me slightly of Black and White. Well the graphics do.What's this for anyway?
TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
The graphics look well dated, but it looked like it could be a good game...
Dayeth
It's for Uni.Yeh the graphics are a bit lacking and the character didn't import perfectly, I'd have rather done the animation in 3d Studio Max, the tests I did in that were better, but I had to make this giant island environment that you could run around on in Unreal Tournament so had to "film" the animation in it.I'm chuffed that at last someone realised what actually happens at the end. Benji
It reminded me instantly of lost in some way.I like the idea of the game, but does the dude on the beach have tits?
thegreatcornholio
Had to watch it again to actually take in the game itself....the narrative text seemed a bit OTT in its frequency and content....font style could probably do with some tlc.I like the idea of the game having a dreamlike quality with narrative fading in and out of background:up:
Sam 45
I think its ace. I like the font but not the double writing. I think it should be made single. The graphics look roughly Nintendo 64 stylee. Tis very cool.
Dayeth
Great feedback guys, very useful as I'm planning a bigger and better done video like this for my honours project next year.Cheers.
Old Gold
The graphics are groovy... kind of a mix between Monkey Island and Tomb Raider. But the story is very Lost like, which is a shame.
Paulscoconutass
That's pretty sweet, although I know nothing of graphics. Nice idea for a game and well thought out trailer. Would definately make me download the first level for free anyway.
Dan G
Thats fucking class. Of course I have no idea how hard or easy it is to make graphics that good/bad.Please say that the thing looking out of the cave at the end is one of those 7-headed things from jason and the astronauts, but instead of dragon's heads it has the heads of Gary Glitter, Jonathan King, Michael Jackson, Herbert (from Family Guy) etc etc... that would kick ASS.Sorry i couldn't be constructive, I know fanny-all about doing that sorta stuff.P.S. I agree with everyone else about the double writing thing though
Daniel
reminds me of the games that came out for sega megadrive, the storyines pretty cool
Demon Of The Fall
nice finished. but what happend to the one you showed me with all the fancy graphics? it looked a lot better than that before...didnt it?
Dayeth
Yes, thats why I'd have rather done the animation in 3d Studio Max' date=' the tests I did in that were better, but I had to make this giant island environment that you could run around on in Unreal Tournament so had to "film" the animation in it.[/quote']

Bass Cadet
Looked cool - I found the sky looked weird with corners in it ?( I definately wanna play the game though - and thats all you want from a trailer surely?
Guest five years
looks similar to farcry, which was great, until it went all 'from dusk till dawn' and brought in the wierd and totally random factor of genetically modified monkeys that could kill you without seeing them and with only one hit.tough competition though. EchelonDivision
Very good. The rendering of the sky was poor though. I agree the doubletext is poor. Too much crossfades to. Voice overs would have been better. Apart from this, it was very well done. Your grasp of 3D modelling is quite unique.
