Pierre Von Mondragon
Also Joanna Newsom- Have One on Me; it seems good, but is too vast to have yet made a connection on 1st listen, quite like the addition of the percussion and drumming, a contrast to the medieval/mythic feel of Ys.Black Sabbath-Master of Reality; should have had it decades ago. Monster Zero
That is an ace compilation, whoever sold that was a fool!It certainly is, I don't think I realised just how many songs were originally Motown efforts....I almost bought this in Asda one time for a tenner thinking that was a bargain, glad I held off! Skacel
I bought the new FR and Unwinding Hours albums at the w/e, I haven't had a chance to listen to them yet but the girl in 1up assured me they were winners.
Soda Jerk
I rebought most of the Bracket discography on Amazon for pennies! I'm not sure why I got rid of it years ago, but Spotify reminded me that they are the greatest pop punk band on Earth.Oh, and Kreator - Pleasure to Kill. What a ridiculous record. nullmouse
I found the new Efterklang a bit dull and precious. New Tunng ain't bad, Last Harbour is ok but for similarities to Nick Cave. Haven't really gotten into the new FR yet.I've had the new Efterklang on in the car quite a lot, which speaks volumes; It's nice, but it's not really attention grabbing. I'm really enjoying Tunng, and FR's only had the one listen so far so I've not really made up my mind about it yet... Agree re: Last Harbour, but given I'm hyuge Nick Cave fan it's right up my street.Of all those I listed, I think Shearwater and the Jeffrey Lee Pierce Sessions Project are my favourites.
