  1. I tend to use both a booster pedal or the eq option above as an eq you can tweak the frequencies you want to come through the mix. Alternatively if you don't wanna but something there is a thing on most guitars called a volume pot. Just use that. I tend to roll mine off a touch with most tracks then give it a boost as and when needed.
  2. Was not having a go Joss. Everybody does it. I had my tube screamer 2 weeks.
  3. That was a quicker turnaround than Joss. Start calling you moon moon now.
  4. I haven't tried them yet but speaking local my mate swears by a company called newtone strings. http://www.newtonestrings.com/ My mate builds guitars and has around 30 repairs a week to do and recommends these strings to every customer if it's an encore guitar or a custom shop. He's started raving about them after going to them from elixirs
  5. Disagree. Even on acoustic I find much better than martins. I'm pretty anal about strings. I would change my acoustic every 2-3 weeks with martins. I am now using the elixirs gauge 11 and find them lasting longer. Closer to 2 months. With electrics pretty much the same. Balls I would change 2-3 weeks and now using 9s and 10 elixirs and change every 2 months.
  6. I've switched to elixirs. They do last longer and hold a much better tone.
  7. So far you have dropped almost 100 quid in price in a day. I will wait till tomorrow and have both for 150.
  8. Hi guys, Thought i would start maybe a controversial topic regarding the gold old Gibson Les Pauls. My opinion has always been mixed and i have always had mixed experiences with any i have played or owned. I find recently that the quality control has dropped some what. Out of a 100 les pauls you will find quite a lot of bad ones. I genuinely love the tone of a Les Paul, a good one has the tone to die for but i am not a huge fan of the neck or feel of one. Have you found another guitar that matches the tone of a les paul? I want that tone, but don't really want another Les Paul. Then again i love the tone from a player like Gary Moore but so much comes from the player. Opinions please. Who loves them, who hates them or who like me just finds nothing that special about them.
  9. I just saw a van go passed me with the company name either simply ship or simple shipper based in westhill sure you can find them online.
  10. +1 for bigbys comment but guess you don't really think about tone until later down the line. The look of the gear won't get the girls it's if you can sing and play in tune.
  11. Yeah love them too. So versatile. With all the above gear in terms of amps I have cut it down to wanting 1 of 3 in the future. A matchless avalon 30, a two rock 35 pro plus or a mesa lonestar but until I can afford any of them the egnater is awesome.
  12. Fuck all my images came up huge
  13. Now i am happy with my gear search (atm) i thought i would share. Egnater Rebel 30 amp, i love how you can mix different power tubes, i blend both the el34's and 6l6 tubes together. My awesome shred machine. Nuno Bettencort N4 signature in padauk, all black hardware, upgraded schaller floyd rose, a Seymour Duncan 59 in neck with a real USA Bill Lawrence Bill and Becky in bridge. Love the stephens extended cutaway Next my black paisley Fender stratocaster. Mexican made but now has complete new wiring, pot's switches jack etc plus features the amazing Lindy Fralin Blues specials. Unbelievable pickups. Plus a callahan sustain bridge block. Acoustics. First is my trusted washburn ea20b festival series another Nuno Bettencort model also use by Edge in u2 and sure it features in a few Del Amitri videos. This guitar traveled the world with me for 7 years. Newest addition is the Taylor gs mini, it's a limited edition rosewood model with the built in et pickup system. I love the rosewood back. Finally the pedalboard. Running through the fx loop is the Byiang tremolo, Digitech chorus, Boss flanger, Tc electronics flashback, tc electronics hall of fame and finally xotic ep booster Through the front of the amp is the Tc electronic polytune, mxr dynacomp, dunlop cry baby, xotic bbplus, suhr shiba drive and finally mxr eq pedal. Now i have done all this the images won't work.
  14. How do you post images here for your gear??
  15. Are you sure you don't want to part with the classic instead?
  16. It will be a dodge earth in one of the adapters. Just have a check of that first. Be same as a normal plug where one wire comes loose and the shielding if gone. It would get faulty over time.

Looking for an AER acoustic amp. Let me know if any options are out there. Stevie
  18. Always use the cliplok. Always feels nice and safe.
  19. Ha. I remember wanting on of these as a kid as Richie Sambora was endorsed by them.
  20. I have a thing for a matchless avalon 30 at the moment. Stunning sounding amp. then a version with chappers playing a snakeskin n4. I have a N4 paddy. Melt your face stuff.
  21. Even check the shielding on your guitar and amp. It will be an grounding issue but could be any cable, any solder joint within the pedals or the guitar and amp itself. Are you plugging power into a ring at home that has a radio or computer running off the same ring. Could also cause the issue.
  22. Everything. OK! I'll talk! In third grade, I cheated on my history exam. In fourth grade, I stole my uncle Max's toupee and I glued it on my face when I was Moses in my Hebrew School play. In fifth grade, I knocked my sister Edie down the stairs and I blamed it on the dog... When my Mom sent me to the summer camp for fat kids and then they served lunch, I got nuts and I pigged out and they kicked me out... But the worst thing I ever done - I mixed a pot of fake puke at home and then I went to this movie theater, hid the puke in my jacket, climbed up to the balcony and then, t-t-then, I made a noise like this: hua-hua-hua-huaaaaaaa - and then I dumped it over the side, all over the people in the audience. And then, this was horrible, all the people started getting sick and throwing up all over each other. I never felt so bad in my entire life.
