  1. I love the hall of fame. Can tweak for weeks, lots of nice features and choices.
  2. I'll be home this evening Kev if you wanted to come collect it or I can take it into work this morning.
  3. I have an mxr graphic. I did have a dynamic comp but that's gone. If you wanna borrow it let me know and can sort it.
  4. The compressor would add sustain and tighten things up but depending on how you set it will determine the difference it will make. Why not just get an eq pedal. You can then boost the frequencies you want to boost to give it that extra top end and drop any problem frequencies that you may not like. If you want to test an eq pedal I have one here you could borrow. Otherwise a tele into an ac30 be the expensive route.
  5. But as bigsby said there be voltages running through the head even when not powered up as it be stored. But generally you would change all the tubes so they all have the same life (yet some may blow before others even when brand new) you don't have to have the same brand but the same type of tube yes, unless it is set to be able to change tube types. My head currently has a set up where it has different brands best for doing certain jobs. You will need to bias it to get the best out of the tubes, if running too hot then it can work the tubes to hard, but if set too low then not getting the optimum performance out of the tubes. Get a matched set, at least you know the tubes be set the same (again depends on quality control) But if you don't know what your doing then don't throw your hands in there. I've always done my tubes and biasing but always used electronics and feel comfortable doing it.
  6. Was about to say as above. Check fuses. Doubt very much it would be capacitor. Also did you do all the idiot checks of the guitar into another amp, cable from guitar to amp or patch leads etc. Speaker cable from head to cab....
  7. The volume level being at 2 wouldn't really make a difference if the tube was on its way out. If the tube hours are up, it will go anyway.
  8. Sounds like a tube. If you can look in the back of the amp, switch the amp on and take a look inside to see if the tubes are lite up. They should be glowing. If one ain't then it is probably the tube.
  9. As it says. The fantastic Suhr Shiba drive for sale. Excellent condition, with box. Fantastic pedal just having an xotic bb makes it redundant. Bargain 100 quid.
  10. Don't like the 900s. Should have went the that jvm I was talking about. Sure somebody will take it tho.
  11. Are you not going to regret it Daryl?
  12. Ha this thread is getting a bit deep. Just as I thought I was going to learn something, it made me not want to learn anymore. Then I remembered I have the Internet.
  13. Someone I never really appreciated until on holiday this year thanks to good old Spotify was Jeff Buckley. Sitting on a balcony drinking whiskey, listening to him made me realise sometimes simplicity and silence in music can mean just as much.
  14. Red hot chilli peppers. Loved them up until blood sex sugar magic time after that pants. First 2 stereophonic albums also. As a kid I liked Metallica also until around the load albums.
  15. But you have a guitar that tells you that you are a jazzmaster
  16. Yeah Colin is really good. Went for a while also but I don't get the free time in evenings as often as I would like to make it regular.
  17. Oi there's more to life than being really really good looking. On another note. Who did you go to col
