Cheap 'buckers sound quieter/better than cheap single coils. And you don't have to shield the cavities and scratchplate. Cost cutting innit....

The classic Jazzy pickup is a single coil but its got 6 different magnets, one for each string, like a strat. A p90 has one bar magnet with adjustable screws for pole pieces. The JZHB is a horrific thing. I think it's only been used on the pawn shop guitars.

P Jazzmaster pickups aren't P90's. However, those are ones Fender call JZHB's, buckers made to look like jazzy pickups. They'll be bad, Fender suck at making 'buckers!

I'm glad they're bringing back the super-sonic. The squier ones were fun to play. Not sure I'd pay £500+ for one.

It's wider but I don't think it's as deep as the timeline. Timeline needs an external tap tempo as well. Running a timeline and a space at the same time would be a bit too awesome....

I didn't really get on with it, I was looking for a bit more jangle (Jan did warn me that it wouldn't really do that mind you) - but after hearing you two get all moist about how nice it sounds I think I want it back!

Rickenbacker have asked Gumtree to remove my ad for the Tokai 330 copy I have up there (and on here). They're saying it infringes on their IP.

It's a Marshall JTM-60 2x12 combo.

Does anyone one here know how to set bias on amps? I've never done it before and I'm a bit wary. Happy to pay.

Bought way too much kit this year and need to clear some space. Tokai RG43 (Rickenbacker 330 copy) Great condition, sounds very close to a real Ricky, has a slightly wider neck so it's easier to play. Straplocks and a new bridge fitted/pro setup completed recently £250 Stagg LP Goldtop with Axetec Alchemist P90's - good condition, there is a paintwork chip on the body but it's been retouched (could probably do with sanding down and a little recoat but it's not visible unless you're a foot away from it! Straplocks fitted. £90 Wesley Thinline Tele - as new condition, great neck, low action. Straplocks and locking tuners fitted. Hard to tell from photo but it's British Racing Green not Black £100 Not really looking for trades, unless for a decent amp.

Blackstar HT-5 Combo, As new condition - 18 months old. 2 channel 5 watt tube amp with footswitch. £175 Vox Cambridge 30 - good condition 2 channel hybrid amp with trem and reverb comes with vox footswitch which can be used for channel/trem or reverb/boost switching (you need two footswitches to do everything the vox lets you do) £100 Both of these sound great, but I need something bigger for gigging and i've run out of room.
