I think Thin Lizzy type harmonies are mostly in 3rds or 5ths. An octaver will make it sound like the bass players joining in. The Behringer pedal you need is the Harmonist. Or another guitar player....

I buy from local stores if possible and then rip straight into iTunes. Bandcamp for smaller bands, and if I can't find something anywhere else I'll use iTunes or another download service. iTunes is more convenient, but I like record shops...

Hmmmmm. Ordering one with a hard case would cost about £440 including all taxes. Still gonna be about £200 cheaper than the Fender...... Just depends whether you're up for taking a gamble on getting a dodgy guitar.

I've got an old vista Jagmaster. Neck great, hardware and electrics not great. They're a good starting point for modding. The pawn shop ones don't seem worth the cash.
