Presumably if you were typing someone else's words you'd have a chance to look at them before you start Granted I don't touchtype which probably doesn't help. Edit: a bit better this time - if I read ahead and memorise the next three words or so I do much better

I bet I'm very very slow. Let's see! This is weird given I spend most of my time on computers and study journalism at university. Still - how accurate is that? I mean that's really just testing your ability to work out how to type some words you have never seen before in that order, most people are bound to type quicker than that suggests.

Even though I have a Macbook and have done lots of recording with Garageband I would probably say "don't waste your money". With the price difference you could probably get something like Ableton or Logic (I think Logic's available on PC as well? Maybe not) and it'd still be, in total, less than a Macbook. Up to you like! As I say, I love Macbooks but not convinced they'd be the thing for you. The Apple Store are remarkably good at helping you make up your mind - they don't aim to make you buy something, they'll evaluate your needs and so on to see if a Mac would be the thing for you.

Yeah, sucks. Worst part with FM is that getting another job is a pain in the backside as well. In my game with Chelsea (seven league titles in a row) I decided to save another file in which I'd resign from them and look for another job. Absolutely nothing for about a season, then got offered something like Macclesfield. Disgusting.

I use a Macbook. Personally, I love it, but I completely understand that it's not ideal for everything. I think it's definitely worth what I paid for it, anyway. On the issue of Ubuntu - I once tried to dual-boot with Ubuntu on this laptop, then the installation process stuck, then my hard drive corrupted. Safe to say I'm not a massive Linux fan... From my time with Linux it just feels like a watered-down Windows anyway. But I'm definitely not tech-savvy enough to make it work.

Does it? I would have thought that not paying back a loan etc would give you bad credit rating, as opposed to not getting the loan at all?
