  1. Basically what it says in the title. I imagine this is because the strings were on too tight, but I have no idea how to avoid this, nor how to fix it. I'm just loosening the strings and sticking something heavy on it for the time-being. Is there anybody out there who would be able to fix this? Would R&B do it? Or even iiMusic? I have a gig on the 22nd so really need a solution! Thx.
  2. Bit unfair. I think the manner with which James Arthur has found his fame is a moot point, it's just good to see a musician who has kicked about at the pub level now with a number one in his belt. ...Although, Ed Sheeran also played in pubs. I don't remember what point I was trying to make with this. Also his lyrics are shit.
  3. I like to think Redknapp thought he meant "wheeler and dealer" literally. Or something.

That's a shame! I don't really know how to just pick. I reckon jamming will need to commence.
  5. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated into the community.
  6. That's that horrific thing that's now John Lewis, correct? Interesting.

Also bump in case any drum-men fancy getting in on this. DRUM-MEN ASSEMBLE
  8. What is Norco? I imagine that's just what Spar used to be before it was, um, Spar. Very odd.
  9. This is a lovely piece of kit but couldn't afford both this and Ableton also. Good luck selling.
  10. Spar seems to have vanished from Holburn Street, what's that about?

I am now here. So far I have two offers from guitarists and two from bassists! No drummers as of yet. Might be interesting to have a band with two bass players... Anyways, you can email me at foxfoxfoxfox@hotmail.co.uk and we can work something out I think.
  12. Hi. A lot of you will know me as Foxhunting, singer-songwriter lad who has some music on the interwebz. I'm thinking now is probably the time ti experiment with getting a band together before I leave uni and have to find work (!). Basically I want to either: 1. Get a sort of "support" band together to back me up when doing gigs (don't really like the sound of this idea since it makes me seem like some sort of mafia king), or: 2. Get a new group together. I can sing, play rhythm guitar and I enjoy songwriting, but obviously I've never written basslines/drumlines and so on. My music taste is ... well, it's varied, but I am definitely not interested in being part of a metal/heavy rock group. You can see things I have listened to over here or hear my solo moozax here. I sort of want to start something "experimental", but will settle for pop/indie-rock so long as it's good. Also I'm quite shy on-stage so if you'd feel weird standing behind a vocalist who fumbles and looks nervous/"twee" then probably this idea isn't for you. You can tell I've not done this before hey. Basically if anyone is interested/wants to know more feel free to reply to this thread.x
  13. Looks niceeee. Might take a bit of getting used to but whatever. Also liking that Jan won't have to deliberately sat his font to Helvetica every time now
  14. What was the sandwich thing about? Missing out on the goss here. Also, I learned that, as of tomorrow, it will be illegal to unlock a contracted mobile phone in the United States. sux2bdem.
  15. Transfer windows in FM13 seem to be insane ALL OF THE TIME. It makes no sense. Rochina just went to Athletico for £15m.
  16. No. Wikitravel is owned by the commercial (and originally named) company, Internet Brands. Wikivoyage was partially aided along by volunteers on Wikitravel who grew disillusioned with the management structure there. As websites, they do essentially the same thing. (and yeah I edit wikipedia too much)

    Pet Hates!

Is it all the Glaswegians putting the emphasis on the "e"? Delighteeeeeeed.
  18. Are you kidding? The Wikimedia Foundation barely writes anything, most of them are purely there to keep the servers running! There have been lots of editors helping out with the launch though (myself included) and I imagine some of them will have been Scottish. By the way, Wikipedia doesn't have a central editing board, it's all volunteer editing. Also, Wikivoyage is run and maintained by the Wikimedia Foundation, not "Wikipedia", which is just one of their websites. Edit: Looks like the article was pulled almost verbatim from similar (but not the same) site, WikiTravel.
  19. Ah, I see. Would be a shout for when I'm applying for graduate jobs then. Nice.

  21. I've never really used LinkedIn, but is there anything on a LinkedIn that wouldn't be on a CV?
  22. I'm playing as Chelsea (for my sins) and he's five-star ability. Apart from the usual suspects (i.e. most of the Barca first team and Ronaldo etc) there are only four players I can think of that are five-star ability from pretty much day one: Falcao Neymar Mats Hummels Eden Hazard
