That's not prejudice, it's a fact. Most opiates constrict your pupils. I've seen enough patients in hospital on them to have observed this myself. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miosis#Drugs

Depends, if they are on opiates it's very easy to spot. The pupils give it away.
  3. Rg321 sold. Rest is still here. Any offers? May be willing to trade for fx pedals. See what people have.
  4. Have you tried any other noise gates than the NS2? That's widely renowned for sucking the most tone of any of the noisegates. The ISP hardly makes any difference, sure it totally kills your sustain if you have it set very high on clean/low gain music, but I don't really find it necessary until you get to metal levels of gain. I also know plenty of people who also swear by the MXR smartgate at the end of their pedal board. Even with a poor youtube vid you can hear the NS2 colours the tone more than the others. Power supplies and cables is an obvious one, but they are bloody expensive. You are looking at £200+ to rejig your rig with top quality stuff. If you have funny pedals like me, I am not even sure many of them fit the requirements for my pedals. Just make sure to stay away from lots of power hungry 18V and 12V pedals! However even going from cheapo ebay 50p cables to something like the planet waves cables makes a difference as I found when overhauling cables.
  5. Do you have a noise reduction pedal? (NS-2, ISP Decimator, MXR Smartgate etc). Noise can caused by cables, pedals, loose connections, power supplies etc. If it's plugged in to your signal chain it can cause noise. I only use 5-6 pedals at the moment and I use my ISP decimator all the time, quiet sound going into your amp means a quiter one coming out, especially if you are going for a high gain tone. If you are boosting volume by a considerable amount in the chain that could be the cause. By far and away the worst pedal on my board is a tubescreamer with the volume dimed, luckily that's an easy fix. If the noise gate doesn't help I would start looking at cables for loose/faulty ones, if you use batteries in your pedals a battery that is almost empty will make a pedal sound like a fuzzy dying mess. Those are the simple, easy fixes I can think of. If it's your amp that is the issue, I have no idea. That's a solid state amp isn't it? No tube issues there.
  6. I will take the chorus if it is sill available.

I have a 'rainy day' fund. It invariably gets used to buy guitars though. I need to sort my life out Seriously though, I too despair at people who have no responsibility with money. I know plenty of people who blow an entire months wages in a few days and then live on nothing for the rest of the month. If you have any doubts as to whether you can afford something, you probably shouldn't be buying it!
  8. I sold my RG321 and got a good deal on one of my 'dream' guitars. Not the colour I wanted but can live with it. Even though it looks a bit like a coffee table - having said that quite a few of mine do now..... Plan is to swap BKP from my other prestige into this and flog that as I am over trem guitars.

Yodel being shit, again. I ordered something 3 weeks ago. No sign of it. Go on amazon to check status. Delivered over 2 weeks ago to our 'porch'. Now a) we don't have one and b) the area outside our flat is totally unsecured and any of our neighbours could get it. Nor did they bother to put a card through our door to say they had done so. I am 99% sure that parcel was stolen as there is no way some of our neighbours would pass up a box sitting outside my door given their history of breaking into sheds owned by our landlord. Thanks Yodel. At least amazon will replace it despite your complete incompetency.
  10. Cheers James, exactly what I needed It's for a set of graphtech string saver saddles if you know which of the two they are? http://www.graphtech.com/product-12-2/I will get a ruler out but at that size not sure I could tell much of a difference between the two.
  11. Never thought of that stupidly but need to make sure they have ones small enough for adjusting the saddles. That's why I just guessed at R&B or II as they should have some specifically the right size. Have all the other ones I need, just the super small one I lost.
  12. Do R&B or II sell allan keys for adjusting the height of string saddles? Have lost mine and need to make a couple of adjustments on one of my guitars.
  13. MT2 is gone. If anyone is wanting multiple items and will do a discount.
  14. None of this stuff has been used for a long time and with a total rejig of my rig it is definitely not needed. The Aria and Hondo are a bit rough around the edges and are ideal projects. Aria Pro II RS Wildcat £40 Hondo II Professional LP copy £50 (rewired with axetec orange drop wiring kit + Iron Gear Hammerheads) Roland Microcube £45 Behringer NR100 noise reduction pedal £15 Behringer V-amp 2 £30 (w/ case, footswitch, power supply and manual) Behringer VT999 Vintage tube monster w/ Sovtek 12AX7LPS tube. £40 (+power supply) Boss MT2 Metal Zone £25 (modified, don't ask me what mod it is, but it sounds WAY better than stock and is actually pretty usable, has been owned by a few people here and was modded by lamedrummer I believe). Ibanez RG321MH wEMG81/85 and gator hardcase £200. Not in picture but listed elsewhere here Open to offers.
  15. £175 guitar or £200 with the hardcase. These go stock on evilbay for about £150/£160ish after postage so this is a proper bargain. Anyone want it before I have to put it up there myself?
  16. The daft thing about the Adrian Jackson sig models is that if you want to adjust the truss rod you have to take the neck off. A bit too 'vintage' in that respect for my liking. Not sure about top mounted floyd's either, never played one but they look strange. I know what you mean about pedals though. Who cares if it is good? IT'S SHINY.
  17. I am getting one of these over the weekend. Toying between this and the MXR Smartgate but simplicity wins the day.
  18. I wouldn't fancy taking one of them on a bus. They are pretty heavy compared to the options that have been suggested here so far. Can't find an exact weight for the Tweaker but the Rebel 20 is about 10kg. If you are carrying that for any significant length of time it would get pretty tiring. Tiny Terror is half that weight. Pedals are even lighter. Of course now being an AMT fanboy and loving their pedals if you want Orange tone in a portable format can't go wrong with one of these! http://amtelectronicsusa.com/productpageo2.html
  19. If you frequent Captain Toms I may let you try out some of my stuff as I live reasonably near by. I have a 4W Matamp that can demolish houses and is pretty small. Depending on what sound you are wanting may need a boost though, it doesn't really do much beyond crunch. I've also got a preamp in a pedal that sounds pretty good and can do everything from cleans-crunch-metal in it's 3 channels. I run it through a 3watt power amp in a pedal but you can get 44 watt pedals (Electro Harmonix 44 Magnum) so in 2 pedals you could have a super portable, super flexible, loud as hell rig. Or just buy a line 6 pod HD or something and run it direct, but I prefer pedals myself.
  20. But it is the glass and glowing bits that make rigs heavier and less portable! 3W solid state poweramp is probably just about right for home use and will hopefully be usable mic'd for other applications so I can't wait to get a power supply and try them properly which will hopefully be tomorrow. The Matamp is probably still too loud to really use to full potential in my flat. I will play it again tonight when my gf isn't home but honestly the other night I had the master set to about 1/5th of the way around (it has no numbers!) and I could only get the volume to about 1/3rd of the way before I started thinking about my neighbours potentially being pissed off, with a 4W head.
  21. Matamp Little Rock. The tubecake arrived today in amazing packaging. The post man apparently was looking at it very suspiciously when he delivered it. No wonder, random brown bag from Russia held together by string. Also a little picture of alternative non Matamp setup. Have a 3 channel, 3 watt rig which can do most styles of music in 4 pedals. Not too shabby. Just need a get a chorus and maybe a couple more pedals to put in the fx loop of the preamp. Makes my microcube pretty much redundant now but I will keep it for the acoustic channel which sounds good with the piezo on my RG1620X.
  22. AMT SS30. It's a 3 channel preamp, hence why it is so busy. I was expecting it to be a bit bigger than it actually is! I posted a few videos of it in the gear you want thread a while back. http://www.aberdeen-music.com/threads/gear-that-you-want.48193/page-34#post-764569
  23. Mine now looks like this. Excuse crappy phone pics. We literally have no light in our flat Waiting on the tubecake to arrive so I can properly test the SS30. Hopefully it has managed to escape Russia in a timely manner and will be here soon. Also need to get a few more pedals. Have a fair few OD pedals but my delay is the only proper effects unit I have!
  24. Got my custom back with upgrades last week after what felt like ages. Cab and preamp should be coming this week. My power amp was posted from Russia (bought directly from AMT) a week and a half ago so no idea when it will arrive as the tracking doesn't seem to work! Should be an ace gear week. Hopefully I can get that guitar shifted to ease the pain my wallet is feeling!
