Ah I can see that. The guitars weren't hugely loud even at the front so can see them being totally drowned out toward the back. The sticky carpet was much better than the new flooring Yeah the songs between sets were weird, ranged from James Brown and the Jackson 5 to Van Halen and Iron Maiden. Wtf o_O Didn't go into Bassment beforehand but during the FFAF dj set they were nowhere to be seen and was just dancey type music from what I can remember... The crowd were OK at the front too. Interacting, singing along etc. Glad they weren't too rowdy. I'm a bit fed up of struggling to keep my feet the entire night at gigs It's fun at times but not every time. Wish everyone had enjoyed the good sound etc though!

Really? Admittedly I was right at the front but the sound was brilliant. Could hear all the instruments perfectly which makes a change at gigs. Normally they're bass drum/high hat heavy but the balance last night was great. Only song missing from the set I would liked to have heard was 10:45 Amsterdam Conversations and was a bit surprised they played all 4 of the new songs. As they said the fans chose the setlist so blame them I really didn't like Spycatcher but The Xcerts put on a pretty decent show and whilst not my cup of tea I quite enjoyed them

I don't care how much I dislike a job. Put on a brave face and get on with it. Money's money. Can't say more than that! My pet hate is NHS grampian overspending! I was an auxiliary nurse but they overspent last year so cutting down on bank staff thus why I have no job cos it's impossible to get shifts, hence searching for a new one. Y'all should know as someone who has lectures in there several times a week the Suttie Centre lecture theatre is a garish colour of green and it's also quite chilly. Esepcially if you sit at the back corners where the air conditioning is. I don't mind but some do so wrap up! If it wasn't on bonfire night may have gone to check it out. The problem is with the floats. We have to stick to company policy which says 50 at the start of your shift, and any spare money must be kept in the safe. I actually enjoyed going to the safe, got to sit down for 20 seconds! The problem was when I got back and people were moaning they had no time and why didn't I have more money in my till. It's not my fault and I really don't like people whingeing at me for doing what my manager told me to do. But such is the service industry I suppose! Customers always right etc

Anyone who has worked in retail knows it is usually a 50 or 100 float. In the places I have worked it's always been one or the other... We don't demand exact change. You can give me 3, 5 etc for a 2.09 coffee and I'll happily stick the change in my pocket I can't complain anymore though. I left the place in June

Yeah I was like that... here's my gripe though. I worked for a year in the cafe at the railway station. So many more of you may know me than you think Now I was the most experienced member of staff and frequently had to open at 7am on my own. We only have a 50 float in the till and the first customer usually pays for a coffee with a 20 note. So I used up all my pound coins within 2 people... so I have to run to the office to the safe and get change cos I am the only member of staff actually in the building and when I come back there is a massive queue and people are looking at me like why the fuck did you take so long... ARRGGGGG!!! So yeah people who pay with 20 notes as soon as a shop has opened are cunts. If it's quiet and I have time to get change or if it's a bit later and I have some notes in my till, that's equally fine... but when you can see I am the only one there at 7am fuck right off.

Been looking forward to this since it was announced way back in May. A Textbook Tragedy released a new EP recently which was really good. White Lightning should be a blast live. The Arusha Accord's album came out on Monday and it's great too... just don't expect it to be like or compare it to Nightmares of the Ocean, as it's totally different. Interested to see what GOPB are like now... the guitarist/other singer/songwriter left a couple of months back so wonder how the replacement compares.
