  1. Just a daft wee thing. I've been keeping them since i started uni, but i'm moving flat for the start of next year and kinda wanted to take them along to the new flat. Just to keep the collection going kinda thing. The problem is, i live in student halls and we get kicked out at the start of summer, so i'm heading back down to edinburgh and wouldn't want to drag them all the way down there and back. x
  2. I just went on it now and it didnt take awfully long to load. Not longer than an average "flash" (ugh...) website. I'm assuming it's been optimised since the original complaints. Very pretty. Now you just need a bar to match x
  3. Hey there. This may well seem like a really strange request... But has anyone got a wee bit of room in their garage i could store like 70 or so empty cans of irn bru over the summer? I'll box them up n that like... They wont just be lying all over the floor. Any help would be really useful! Cheers! x

    Your current read?

In the middle of reading "Blaze" by Steven King. It was written back in Kings early days when he used to write under 2 different names. He released horror novels under the name King, but also released crime novels under some other name which escapes me (I cleverly left the book in the deen and I'm now back in edinburgh for 10 days). Its a pretty good read. Pretty quick too. Very clearly influenced by "Of mice and men" though. x
  9. Glad i could be of some use =) x
  10. Quite frankly, anyone thats not a cynic on the internet these days is an idiot... x
  11. Yeah i had the reply window open and went downstairs for ages, then came up and replied. Hadn't even noticed you'd posted. Sorry for the unintended plaigarism! x
  12. All I'm saying is that if a company can make a program (particularly freeware) that seems to solve a problem thats been going around for years, they will get millions of downloads through word of mouth alone and could end up making a hell of a lot of money off any advertising space they may own. Plus its very hard to proove that they have not done what they said they have. Unfortunately, I find that, particularly with computers and the internet, if it sounds too good to be true, it very often is. x Edit: I'd give the old one a bash through this link Your Uninstaller 2008 - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com Its 2008, but just means its more likely to have more bugs ironed out and also, i 100% trust Free Software Downloads and Reviews - Download.com
  13. I'm basing that on the fact that a lot of companies dont like their things being deleted and will put a lot of effort into not letting you delete them... I'm also basing it on the fact that the majority of computer users don't know all that much about computers, so if some miracle program can pop along and make it look like its done a job, the vast majority of people will accept that it has done that job. But as i said, theres also a good chance that it actually works and I'm just looking into it too much. x
  14. Might have to give it a bash. Got a few files kickin about on here that have become corrupted at some stage or another and just wont budge. Nothing worth registry wanking, just stuff that takes up a little space and makes my defragments take that extra minute longer. x
  15. Either that or it deletes the part of the software that has any HCI output. Thus it will never turn up on your screen but can still be running bits and bobs and still takes up HDD space. Then again, I've never used the program. It may well be some lovely new godsend! x
  16. For me personally, registry wanking is a lot like most sports. Theres a big difference between knowing how to do it and actually being able to do it... I'd love to help, but since i've never actually had to do it on my own PC, i wouldnt feel comfortable doing it on anyone elses... I'me sure theres plenty people on here that know more about it than me anyhoo. x
  17. Ugh... I'm by no means a wii hater or anything, but i just cannot follow that game with those graphics. Cant focus on anything and i had no idea what was happening most of the time. Fair enough if others like the style, but i just couldn't follow it. x
  18. Prob a better idea to just open your task manager, go into processes and close AVG first, then give COD a bash to see if thats your problem. I'm doing a degree in computer science at the mo so these kinda conversations come up a lot. The end result of which is usually "Norton is like cancer for computers. You never really get rid of it completely" Agreed Agreed x
  19. Aye min. I use AVG. I've tried Avast too and its pretty good. For me, AVG is a bit better, if your PC can cope with it. I would, however, advise against installing them both at the same time. Especially if you are unsure that your PC can handle AVG on its own. Bear in mind, antivirus programs have processes running in the background all the time and running 2 at once will only slow things down even more. On top of that there can be several clashes between the programs if one decides to let something through and the other doesn't etc. All in all, it causes more bother than it's worth. If you are unsure about what your PC can handle, I would download Avast for a month or two. If it does the job, leave it in place. If not, delete it, then install AVG. If you have a lot of problems with AVG crashing etc, revert back to Avast and make do. Best advice i can give. x
  20. They should have just left it like that... I, personally, feel that that could make an awesome theme for a nightclub! x
  21. Hey dude, I'm interested. I'm an 18 year old singer/guitarist. Looking for something kinda energetic and dancy. Kinda guitar driven powerpoppy fun music? Let me know if you fancy stickin something together. I'm quite happy to do vocals and rhythm guitar. (More of a myspace kid so i cudn't say hi through your bebo) Greg x Edit: Decided to give you a PM too cos it gives you an email which you might be more likely to check
