  1. Hey lads. Myself and Joe are still feelin pretty up for it i think? I'm 19, no idea how old Joe is. My mate was kinda meant to be playing bass, but he's not seeming that interested so we might be looking for a bassist still? I'll have a word n get back to you. Also, any amount of vocal ability would be a major plus for the bassist.
  2. The problem is, will I be able to play it without getting an ASBO due to complaints from the folk downstairs?
  3. So the over all conclusion is... Buy 2 amps? =(
  4. I heard the Bugera V22 has a switch to allow it to run at 11 watts rather than the full 22. Anyone happen to know if the V55 has a similar option as this could be the answer to my problems...?
  5. Just saw Jgomez's thread and noticed all the helpful comments. Thought i'd throw out a similar problem I have. I too am looking for a valve combo, I'm looking to spend around the 300 mark. Would need to be loud enough for gigging, but i live in a flat so it would also have to be able to be played at an acceptable level and still sound half decent with that taken into account. Would be used for everything from Twin atlantic/Jimmy eat world up to As I lay dying type stuff, but I'd rather sacrifice the heavier end than the lighter end. Any help would be appreciated! Cheers.
  6. Watching empire strikes back just now. Never get bored of these films.
  7. Susan Boyle doing Candy Shop by 50 Cent
  8. Yeah min, starting a rock night up is no mean feat. Either way, if theres anything i can do to help, let me know
  9. Could do with a decent night out on a Wednesday. Wednesday ends in a Y so I have to go out anyway... I'd head along. As long as drinks are cheap and the musics decent, this could be a good laugh. If enough people were to go along, would it be in both rooms? The more successful rock orientated nights I've been to use 2 rooms, one for heavier and one for lighter music. The problem with "rock" is that it's such a huge genre, you can get metrostation fans and cryptopsy fans having to listen to each others music on rock nights in order to accommodate everyone. Obviously this would only be possible if there was enough people, but just a thought. Also, another chance for bands to showcase themselves can only really be a good thing.

    Your current read?

Anathem by Neal Stephenson. Jesus Christ thats a hard read...
  11. Had some interest in the bassist position, but I don't reckon he's really all that keen. People are proving a bit hard to get a hold of, but I'll let you know as soon as possible.
  12. Haha! Sounds good min! Yeah I'm not particularly good at guitar either tbh, but it's not the most technical stuff in the world to play, so we should be decent enough to get by I'll let the other dudes know I've found someone and we'll learn a couple of covers or something and get a wee jam together yeah?
  13. In all fairness, most people in liquid are scum, regardless of age...
  14. Yeah just noticed that... lol. I feel I shall shush until after nap time now...
  15. So it would appear... Ah well! Hardly think missing a point makes me a tool mind...
