  1. Thought I'd bring this one back up again. We have a drummer, guitarist, bassist/guitarist and vocalist good to go! Just needing a bassist or guitarist and we shall be up and running. And a synth player if anyone happens to be interested? (you don't have to be Mozart mkII or that. Just so long as you can have a laugh on stage and have a decent ear for what sounds good.)
  2. Hey all. Any bands out there looking for a vocalist? My influences include, As I lay Dying, Alexisonfire, Emmure, Parkway Drive, The Acacia Strain, Unearth, Architects, Misery signals, Born of Osiris, Evergreen Terrace, Killswitch, Fellsilent etc. (fair wee list there? Hope someone sees something they like...) I'm 18 and I've got plenty stage experience (although haven't been in a proper band for an age). If not, I've got a drummer and a bassist/guitarist on call to start something if i can get a few more folk in. My influences basically say it all, I'm just looking for something energetic, heavy and fun. Also, myself and the bassist/guitarist are in possession of some pretty awesome synth type hardware that I wouldn't mind putting to good use on a Born of Osiris/old Still Remains type project if anyone fancies it? Let me know! Cheers
  3. Hey all. Going into second year at RGU and after failing to get a band organised in first year, I'm really starting to miss it. I'm happy to do vocals or guitar (So longs as it's not uber tech stuff... I'm not that great) or bass (ditto last parenthetical statement). Or if theres a bassist/?guitarist kickin about, I can get the rest of the band together and start something new. I'm into all sorts. Happy to play tech-metal, hardcore, hardcore punk (very broad genre, so I'm gonna say more on the Evergreen terrace/Comeback kid side of things), metalcore(As I lay dying etc), "screamo" (Fei Comodo, Yashin type stuff), Decent indie/rock kinda stuff (I'm liking editors/ bloc party stuff. Not the fucking kooks or any of that drooling idiocy), powerpop/pop punk (xcerts, twin atlantic kinda stuff) and most anything inbetween. If you're not sure, ask =) Someone chuck me some offers! Or if you know anyone that's looking to fill said positions, let me know. Someone? Please?
  4. I know for a fact my mate is looking for one of these. I'll let him know it's kickin about here.
  5. Really? Was wondering what I was doing wrong all this time...
  6. Hey all, just wondering if anyone is looking to shift an electro-acoustic? I'm pretty skint at the moment so I'm definitely working to a budget. Not bothered about knocks or dings or anything as long as it's not effecting the working or sound of the guitar. Cheers =) Greg
  7. Just looking for a bassist or guitarist now? One of our guitarists is happy to play bass if we can't find a decent bassist so either will do.
  8. Heyo! I might be interested. Recently gave up on my old BMX as it was too bloody heavy. I'm up in the deen again early/mid september. If you've still got it then, I'll probably take it?
  9. Hey all! Looking to start a band playing some good technical heaviness. Think... Acacia Strain/Emmure brutal-ness with some Unearth/Architects tech-ness, Born of Osiris/old Still Remains synthy-ness and Killswitch/As I Lay Dying epic chorusy parts. So far we have vocals(myself) and a rhythm guitarist. Looking for a (pretty technical) lead guitarist and bassist. Also maybe a drummer (depending on what our mate gets back to us with) and maybe a synth player. We have some good synth kit as it is so don't worry if you only own a casio school keyboard or that. Let me know! Cheers, Greg
  10. I love TBBT. One of the few shows I litterally laugh out loud at. Infact my (rather annoyed) flatmate will testify to that since i have woken him up on more than one occasion. Extremely funny. x
  11. Can someone explain to me what "Ding" means? Don't believe I've ever come across it before. x
  12. Bloody cool though... If only it was on a subject matter i cared about. x
  13. Can't help but feel this could go on for a while...
  14. Due to to the fact that you failed to make a point...
  15. Maybe they are special edition solid gold cans? A tad farfetched maybe... But possible all the same! x
  16. Ah yer a babe john! Just tell them i'm an art student. People tend not to ask questions that way... Maybe should have said that here... lol x
  17. How big is it? Just cos me and a few mates were planning on leaving some of out stuff up here rather than drag them back down to edinburgh just to have to drag them back up again. 20 seems reasonable for the whole summer. x
  18. Yeah, its not as if flash is going to have to sit and recode the site every time he wants to update the gigs section... In my opinion, it has all the functionality (minus loading times) of an html website plus greater asthetic. In time, the loading time part shouldn't be such a problem. x
  19. Umm... from a computing students point of view, i'm gonna have to disagree quite strongly with the "Flash based websites are outdated" comment. Infact, i think its quite the opposite. I feel they are well ahead of their time, which, imo, is why they've never really taken off. Infact, sooner or later, I reckon almost all proffesional websites will be flash based. As soon as internet speeds catch up... x
  20. The idea in having the endorsement is that it makes the guitar less expensive... x
  21. Still of little relevance to the question i asked. Perhaps, when i am finished with them, i shall recycle them. But as for now, I have use of them. x
  22. Meh i have them in 3 and a half towers up to my ceiling. almost like some sort of shit, wierd ornament. I like it. If you've got nowt useful to say, say nowt =) x
