Hey everyone, I'm a singer songwriter from the Aberdeen area, looking to find a person, or people to start a band with. I want to create something with a fun, but meaningful punk rock sound, with some indie/pop influences. I guess the easiest examples of what I like are the likes of Blink 182, Fall Out Boy, Sum 41, The Ataris, Cartel, things along those lines. I do like a lot of other musical styles, but that is the kind of sound I tend to head towards. Apologies for the varied type of band in the title, it's partly because I'm not sure exactly what I want to do, I've done a lot of writing over the last year or two, some good some not, but I'd be quite happy to start fresh with the right people. My biggest influences I'd have to say, are originally from bands like Green Day and Blink, and more recently from bands such as the Xcerts, Twin Atlantic, Biffy Clyro, Cartel and The Ataris. I play guitar and can sing If I need to, although I'll admit I'm not great, so would be great to have a talented singer. Although I do write things on my own, I'd love to have someone with some writing talent with some song ideas, good or bad, the more the better. Wanting to start perhaps with a three piece, but happy to include a second guitarist if they have a good voice, or even just as an extra guitarist, not really bothered right now.
