Not a fan of Thrice by any means, but I can't imagine them being worth hating. They've always just kinda... been there in the background for me. Also, I have recently discovered Glassjaws first album, which I have to admit I am a fan of. Not what I was expecting from Glassjaw at all. Agreed tenfold.

SNES was released in uk in april 1992. John W was born in on January the 7th 1992. As nitpicky as this is, he was in fact born before the SNES was released. Further, the N64 wasn't released til 97 so John would have had a wonderful 5 years of life to remember the snes being the leading console, from the nintendo line at least. It would also be naive to assume that no one played the SNES after the N64 was released as i still play a PS2 and original Xbox back in edinburgh as I'm too skint to afford a next gen and thus perfectly beleivable for john to have still had the SNES as his main console when he was 9 years old? I feel john has just as much right as anyone to be nostalgic about it as it was the first console he would remember playing.

Actually they are named after a character from a play that Rou wrote when he was younger named Shikari (the indian word for hunter)... I know this because I asked him when my old band supported them in Edinburgh... In fact, Shikari himself is featured on the album cover of take to the skies. Although I would like to apologise for my picking on your possible typo in the first place. I was in a foul mood. My bad.

Surprised this thread is so popular actually. I've never really had the balls to post my lyrics anywhere... Seems pretty stupid, i know, but meh! Heres a wee start I've made to a song. Been struggling to write to this peice of music for days, so go easy. It sometimes seems like its in odd places, but it's more just to help me remember rhythms.

Our government made a massive deal about trying to introduce a "more continental attitude" to drinking by introducing 24 hour licencing etc. France doesn't have nearly the kind of drinking problems we do. I say, if they are 18, let them buy alcohol. If they give it to underagers, so be it.
