  1. Yeah Kirsten why you interested in Aberdeen? This thread is for Aberdeen related stuff. And HMV in London.
  2. I rarely answer the house phone these days, if it is a genuine call they can leave a message and I will call back. Either that or if I do answer i just hang up when it is obviously a sales call.
  3. No i'm saying that you have decided to invent a whole conspiracy theory reasoning for someone putting that in order to somehow spite people when in fact they are more likely just stating a fact of life in the convenient bitty on FB. Some folk seem to get very wound up about FB, maybe try trimming friends list or just not using it if it is that devastating an ordeal....
  4. Nice one min. Don't put 'Full Time Daddy' on your FB pageEdit - Dont let your wife put 'Full Time Mummy'
  5. Why are HMV in London and Pizza Hut in Aberdeen connected?
  6. I neg repped him because he has made a sweeping judgement that anyone who posts that has some sort of superiority complex. Maybe some do but maybe some just put it to state that they are a stay at home Mum without any thought to trying to appear somehow superior. He is as bad as those he has decided to judge. I remember some bint on here years back stating that the only reason folk had 'child on board' signs on their car was to rub it in to those who don't have kids! Fuck. Off. My pet hate - idiots who make judgements on what folk with kids are thinking without having the first clue about it.
  7. An advertising company once approached the Johnny Cash estate with a request to utilise 'Ring of Fire' in an advert for a haemorrhoid treatment, thankfully blocked.
  8. But the police are BAAAAD man. NWA said so
  9. Yeah its definitely a film to avoid when eating and to make you thankful for lack of smellovision.
  10. I have a CD kicking about. 'Bite It You Scum' has a certain gonzoid appeal but other than that it's pretty much down to how much tolerance you have for badly recorded, highly un-PC punk rock. I don't listen to it often, lets say that. Do you mean 'Hated'? Its a great watch, just upgraded my old VHS copy to DVD. Some of the music seems better in the context of the film.
  11. Punk lunatic GG Allin was christened Jesus Christ Allin. His elder brother Merle pronounced his name Jeje as a child and this led to the GG.
  12. Hey he saved you that 10 hour flight that you were definitely contemplating taking in order to check up on a Spar in Aberdeen, show some damn respect
  13. It may explain why his posts blur the line between fact and fiction so often
  14. Besides the massive general fiction section, there was sections for Crime fiction, Sci-Fi, Scottish fiction, graphic novels, kids fiction, classic fiction. I mean, I literally have no idea how he can assert there was little fiction. I often think he just chucks these little snippets in to wind folk up.
  15. Do you understand what fiction is? It doesn't seem like you do
  16. Nah not at all, inevitably my crap sense of humour fails to translate online.....I get exactly what you are saying. Trouble is that I have no experience in making visuals (I can barely operate the software to make the audio) and I would rather have nothing than something crap. I'm not sure how effective having some visuals playing on that TV would have been tbh, I think it needs to be a decent sized screen, which then needs projection etc and thats all kind of outwith my budget for a first couple of gigs.... It was rather unnerving, I could just see a line of feet as I tried to hide behind my cap. The interlinking sounds were a planned mechanism to cover the gaps between songs as the tracks loaded to avoid my crap attempts at banter. I have a couple ideas for something to look at next time out, not great ideas but something at least....thanks for listening in any case....
  17. Despite the untimely arrival of a cold on Friday, leading to me feeling pretty grim for most of the day, Saturday night was great fun. Bit devastating that I am not visually stimulating enough but this has been a conundrum in my head, playing live presents obvious 'man poking buttons' limitations but offers opportunity to get some exposure and just have some fun. I would rather have no visuals than try and offer up some poor excuse that would be the inevitable result of my endeavours. I was a tad nervous of cocking it all up, the choice of headgear was a deliberate means to hide a bit. Hopefully next time I will feel a bit more at ease and may interact a bit more. Thanks to all who listened and said nice things. Flights was very nice and relaxing, reminded me of seeing Stars of the Lid at the Tunnels a few years back, was SO relaxing I dozed off on the stairs nursing my pint. Where did the vocal samples come from, seemed familiar and I forgot to ask? It was cool to see Seas, Starry doing an improv, worked pretty well to my ears, the middle section in particular was extremely nice, quite Pelican-esque. Inuit were decent, I think I would have liked some bass in there for some low end but tight and obviously well rehearsed. Downstairs is a nice wee venue, thanks to Phil and Col for taking a punt and having me there, much appreciated.
