  1. All this over a fudge award? - Har har har. Here's to Aberdeen?! Fun? Fun? Fun! Yes! This is fun?
  2. If you can't enjoy two blokes yelling over radio static, then what can you enjoy? Really, I do despair with some things in life.
  3. Christ sake, I'm working this saturday... Was looking forward to seeing Mayhem with Atilla.
  4. You'll be there will bells on! If you refuse, I'll kidnap your pedals and possibly your soft furnishings!
  5. Awsome... I missed them the last time, good way to kick start celebrations.
  6. Awsome. I'm glad I'll get to see them before they go. Although it's unlikely, I hope they play some of the older 'classics'. Great White Death anyone?
  7. Nice record. Really like a lot of their newer works. Strangely enough, I'm no where near as keen on their earlier drone workouts; they never felt all encompassing enough for me to fully immerse myself with them.
  8. The music's a tad muddy, yet I expect this from this type of grindcore... i.e: pure noise terror Otherwise, solid as hell tune, and I want to hear more. Actually, I love the reverb on the end of the final vocals. It's adds a real finality to the track.
  9. Just the way which your original post was phrased (note: the part I quoted), didn't really read like a friendly introduction to me... Never mind.
  10. Pardon my use of internet slang but... l.o.l! ect. As a wee side note: Aaron Funk's works are not exactly difficult to track down; HMV was selling 'Cavalcade of Glee and Dadaist Happy Hardcore Pom Poms' and still probably has a copy in store. Track is pretty awesome though, his remixes are the bee's knees. Just no need to be condescending twat about it.
  11. Oh!!! Please! Please, stop being the pseudo-intellectual hipster/culture hound which you're so painfully trying to portray. It's just a silly, and I mean silly... Lighten up and have some fun, preferably off these boards - they carry an official health warning you know: Over Exposure Leads to: NON HUMOUR BREAKDOWNTITUS!!! Then DEATH! (sue my writers!!!) Over and out....
  12. I like this tune, it'd be nice to hear some more. p.s. If you wanted to continue with that kind of percussion - you could invest in a contact mic. They're really cheap to build yourself, if your competence with a soldering iron is minimal, or, you could buy one for $15 from noisefx.com (appalling advertising there) They would open a whole world of percussive treats for you, plus other ambient textures ect.
  13. Marzuraan are awsome. As far as I'm aware their bassist is the person behind Culver, which is a good thing as Culver are good too. Useless information and opinions over... self cencorship commenced.
  14. The offending article removed it's self from the post. Best cover the rest up like some horrible dirty secret.
  15. I wouldn't quote me on this, as I am merely speculating, and speculation does tend to be wrong quite often: but I would have thought that as Tom's didn't like people congregating outside these gigs anyway, and what with the smoking ban forcing smokers outside. It potentially could have caused problems with unwanted attention from John Q Law. Of course I could just be talking garbage, and even if this was the case there probably would have been a plethora of other reasons as to why they stopped.
  16. Perhaps not the best ever, but awsome none the less: The Residents - Man's World YouTube - The Residents - Icky Flix Tour - Man's World
  17. Glasgow Implodes : 13th Note Six Organs of Admittance : Lemon Tree (yes it was held back by various factors, but i loved it!) BoreBoreBoredoms!!!: Lemon Tree (no explination needed.) The Fall: Tunnels Wolf Eyes: Tunnels All great gigs! I wish I saw more out of town events missed a fair few...
  18. I'm hoping to pop along to this... Just out of interest: will this be in the main room, or upstairs like Six Organs?
  19. Ah, captain tom's gigs. Good memories, or perhaps decided lack of at times... Would it not have been to do with the smoking ban that the gigs were put to an end?
  20. Yip Yip - In the Reptile House Neptune/Jessica Rylan Improv Tape. Made in Mexico - Zodiac Zoo Sword Heaven - Entrance Yes!
  21. This should be good, Jarobe did a track with him on one of his last releases. Jesu were awsome at the Oran Mor, few sound dificulties but still as crushing as I could have wanted them to be.
  22. Perhaps it's just me, but I think the fact that John Cage's: 'Silence pieces' are even performed within a formal environment is a tad ridiculous. Primarily due, to his whole belief in chance of sound, I would have thought that; perhaps through personal opinion only: these pieces would be better performed in locations where it truly would be an individual experience without the constructs of 'music performances' let alone classical recitals. (Of course when I say pieces, I obviously refer to the fact that this is not a piece of sound, more an abstract experience/concept applied to a time period)
  23. Really? I never knew that! Thank you for this information - you've opened my mind to many unknown of truths - just from that statement, and your emphatic sentiment! Thank you many times! p.s: Got evidence which conclusively proves your claim that Jeff Buckley is dead, and not Cher? p.p.s: You've yet to provide me with the details of the confrontation... This is good yes? (This thread is rancid, unless the discussion of silly 'star' battles continues, then it could prove amusing.)
  24. This sounds like a good confrontation, one many would enjoy... Was Cher dressed in spikes? And was Jeff Buckley brandishing a needle? Was it near the Hudson River? I hope so, this sounds beyond epic. Also, do you have the facts? Tell me if so... (I speak of the confrontation in past tense as I know that it may have become a reality already. The miracles of science never cease!)
  25. From a total non-fan of this lot: I'd recommend them to anyone whom is into ‘post-rock’ and/or indie pop music... they are awesome at what they do, not my thing necessarily (saw them at the tunnels), but I'd recommend highly if the previous parameters fit into your thing… Not the best advert I know, but hey… just ignore it if it doesn’t feel right!
