  1. Very nice stuff indeed. I like how it is a very simple song but seems like a lot of thought went into it at the same time. The xylophone (if that is what it was), backing vocals and keys add a lot to the track. Certainly interested to hear the other songs now.
  2. A serious gamble if McGhee went for him. I always liked Jamie Smith and he was a matchwinner on his day but his fitness is often an issue. It must be tempting as he has a lot of class about him but with the player budget we have it would be better to have someone without a history of being injured.
  3. When Celtic appointed Mogga I thought they would have suited each other. WBA played some decent passing football (as did Hibs for that matter) and that is exactly what the Celtic fans were after. I guess it is a case of not getting up to speed too soon and thinking he may have had time to build a squad but that isn't a luxury afforded to a Celtic boss.
  4. Apparently the first time St Mirren have beaten Celtic in the SPL, what a way to do it.
  5. There's a car in the street next to where I live that has a licence plate along the lines of SW07 VAG. Sometimes you strike gold and don't need a personalised plate.
  6. I kind of give the benefit of the doubt at times and think if there is an interest in a tournament it is easy to speculate. I dare say we'd do the same if there was a Scottish interest in tournaments. Problem is that it goes way, way beyond that as you suggest. Just wait to see what happens if England progress in the World Cup, the media will go way over the score and it acts as a hinderance to the team. Still, whether they win or lose it will sell papers so it's a win/win situation for the media. Whilst it is an old example, I remember when Celtic progressed to the final of the UEFA Cup and knocked out Blackburn and Liverpool. Surely the TV coverage should have been unbiased in those games but it clearly wasn't. Blackburn were tipped to rip them a new one and obviously didn't (but how dare Larrson swear on our TV show!) and the interview after beating Liverpool at Anfield was a farce. Rather than question Hartson about his 25 yard rocket into the top corner, Garth Crooks asks him whether he felt they were lucky as Alan Thompson scuffed his goal.
  7. I really like this track. It creates an atmosphere and I think the drumming adds a hell of a lot to the song. I saw you guys last year supporting Danananananackroyd and got the same opinion then, cracking rhythm section.

    Pet Hates!

A bloke at my work was telling me about an article he read about pointless apps. One of them was an app that overheats your iphone and turns it into a handwarmer. Breaking your phone...there's an app for that.
  9. Bayern v Man U / Lyon v Bordeaux Inter Milan v CSKA / Arsenal v Barcelona Arsenal against Barca will be tasty and then the semi on that side of the draw assuming Inter progress. Think that is a good draw for Man U but still tricky ties. Bayern will be difficult and either of the French sides, Lyon in particular, are going to pose a serious threat. On Man U's current form though those teams won't look forward to playing them.
  10. Really interested in picking this one up. I'm a huge fan of The Shins but have liked what I've heard so far so I've got it on the shopping list. Recent purchases for me have been Mumford and Sons and Biffy Clyro.
  11. There was an interview with him on Soccer Saturday last weekend where he would start giggling during each question. It was like crossing a Russian meerkat with Jimmy Bullard.
  12. I remember reading on the web a while ago that if you find Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips' house on Streetview you can see him sitting in a bath tub in his garden.
  13. My neighbour has left his windows open, best tell him incase he gets burgled.
  14. Arnold Schwarzenegger? Surprisingly easy to mix those two up. In fact, have they ever been spotted in the same room?
  15. Possibly for future games. Affa busy for the next month or so and waiting for the onset of summer football.
  16. I'm in favour, pretty much for the reasons Jefferies gave. It would be nice to have more variety in the league and more teams to play. In theory, it would mean there are a few whipping boys in the league for the Old Firm to cuff but I don't think there is much of a gulf between the divisions. I mean, the Dons get beat by lower division sides all the time so they can't be that bad...perhaps. I'm not sure the suits running the league will go for it. Apparently the clubs would suffer financially from playing the Old Firm less and not getting the extra gate receipts as I've heard that as a reason before for not extending the division. With the state of some finances just now that may be a barrier to progress with this.
  17. Are The Phoenix Band still on the go? They had a beauty of a song called The Saint and the Satan.
  18. It was a couple of years ago now but I played a gig with a band called Valentine and there were three girls and a bloke in that band. Not sure if they are still on the go and I'm assuming they were local.
  19. A winning start anyway. Not pretty stuff but I think that game maybe showed Levein a few things. A serious lack of pace in the midfield and not much in the way of width with the team he put out. However, I liked the look of Dorrans as he was always involved in play and got stuck in. Him and Faddy could cause problems. The second half at least showed we still have some graft about us and I thought Boyd brought other players into play well. I certainly prefer that to the pestering that Miller does. Hopefully after a few more friendly games we may be in a competitive position for the Euro qualifiers. But seriously, Darius singing the national anthem...just wrong.
  20. When I worked in the shoe shop a girl once came in and bought a pair of inflatable shoes. Unfortunately, she got hit by a bus on the way home and popped her clogs.
  21. There's a big hole at Stonehaven Golf Club called Hitler's Bunker for this reason. German planes offloaded their leftover bombs and hit the first fairway. Kept it in play at least, would have been a shot penalty if they put it over the cliff.
  22. A man with a diverse CV. And a perv.
  23. That shop is dodgy as fuck. My brother used to live on Hutcheon Street and had it nicknamed "Pills and Porn" as they had those in vast quantities. I also worked in a shoe shop when I was going through Uni. I'd assume it would be a shit job but it was alright really. I mainly worked in the storeroom but myself and the assistant manager had a football hidden away so when we were the only ones in we would have a kickabout. It is probably the only job in retail where you get girls voluntarily leaning over in front of you, technically you can get paid to look at tits.
