I bought the POD XT from R&B without even trying it. I don't know what disappointed me more, it being a box of shite or the fact I paid almost 60 above the internet price!!! NEVER IMPULSE BUY!!

I've seen this....I'm sure it was live once upon a time..o_O

I've heard the ML2.....its a crazy sound all right...just walls of distortion which would suit death metal, but it still sounds like weak ass shit to me...more fizz than crunch, but thats maybe what you're after? Personally I've always loved the Shredmaster...but I think how you play goes a long way towards how good it sounds. The guitarist of korpse couldn't believe the sound I got out a shredmaster with an epiphone les paul, I took that as a compliment! (but then, he played a strat!). Maybe try heavier strings and picks first...less distortion is sometimes more! And always play louder than you should....if you can still hear the drums and bass, you're too low

Get a geeky tattoo about something you're passionate about!! This is cool as fuck...
-
Thats fine, but I sort of miss the interaction there used to be in record shops when you'd take something to a counter and the guy would go "woh...nice choice....hey have you heard of this band who are similar they're coming to aberdeen..." "yeah, my band are playing with them..." "cool....I'll see your band then!"

The other half will want to skin me alive for doing this (money and noise reasons) but I'll take it off you for 130 if you want! Chuck me a PM! Looks pretty beasting, need something for just playing at home with as my stack has been an inconvenient ornament for the past 4 years

Woh...the song has been leaked already! Sounding good guys! NEONFLUXICIDEPARTDEUX: listen online

I used to play through an Orange cabinet with my dsl100, best sound I've ever heard (but I would say that!!) They look great, sound mean as fuck, far more heavier and cutting than a marshall) and used to give me a great workout every weekend as they did weigh a fucking ton! I've heard Mesa cabs go great with Marshall heads but I don't like the price of them....but to answer the original question, I don't have one for sale

Once upon a time the tracks on singles never appeared on albums.....now the first 5 or 6 tracks from a bands album are released as singles, with the 5 or 6 remaining tracks released as the B side. ANy wonder why no one is interested in singles anymore?
-
I don't know if they are usually used live tbh.... seem to be more of a studio tool which I could see the benefits of in the pre-computer days...but nowadays, I think its far quicker (if a little less fun and innovative) to slice and arrange stuff on a computer. Youtube is crawling with great MPC tutorial videos by beginners and seasoned pro's, definitely some stuff to pick up there!

The death of 8 Bit music (good riddance)
emergency72 replied to emergency72's topic in Music Discussion
Come on FFS! Theres NO SUCH THING as 8 bit music. Computer game music, in the 8 bit day sounded that way BECAUSE THATS ALL THEY COULD DO!!!...as soon as newer consoles came on the go which could use 16 bit sampled music, the musicians composed real music...do you think anyone writing music for NES games really thought "yeah this is amazing 8 bit toonz" instead of "christ this sounds so pish, but its all this stupid console is capable of producing" !!! -

Its an album, on a NES cartridge, which you play on your NES. Most 8 bit music fans probably couldn't tell you what NES stands for, never mind own one, hence I love the irony -

Hey I appreciate anything....someone posted a recording they made of wind blowing through scaffolding down by the harbour a while back.....amazing.... But copping out making beeping sounds that emulate sounds originally made by experienced programmers because its flavour of the day is as bad as crazy frog.... -
8 bit music...its over...instead of all these shitty bands who fail to make music by conventional means and resort to cheap gimmicky beepy irritating pish music, some guy has gone and released an album on a NES cart... 10/10 for creativity and imagination (I'm sure the music is pure balls!) And thankfully this also closes the door on this doomed genre, as nothing can top that the art & music of alex mauer

Behringer are just the distributor I think....but yeah...behringer and copying.... At least its cheap
-
I may be alone in thinking that early Offspring sounds a LOT like an old UK band called The Defects.... 2nd side of their album Defective Breakdown is total killer...check it out!
-
I had that offspring record, the one with the alien busting out the guys stomach on the cover....it went walkies.... but anyway, using the word gay fails my punk test....you poof
-
Art as Catharis. Worst band name ever? o_O

They usually came with your record player....or you could pop to your local record shop and pick one up (yeah right!) This is the best album I ever bought, its right up there with some other great hardcore punk bands

You mean you've never bought a record thats been pressed in Italy or wherever to cut costs and has one of those huge holes in the middle that needs a thingamywotsit in the middle to play it (which always go missing) ? Check this shit if you love vinyl....Retro Thing, a home horse racing game that features the races on a record, the records are cut with a concentric groove (ie. serveral different tracks adjacent to each other) so the drop of the stylus on the record randomly picks a track! Awesome!!
