  10. I just did a search for "US podium" in google image search (as the SM57's selling point is always "THE MIC THAT BEEN ON THE PODIUM FOREVER (THE $500 VERSION)) and this image came up. This is off a fucking official state site. Look at his eyes and tell me what he's looking at!!!

If money's no issue...the Sennheiser MD441 would be an ideal all round choice...great on vocals and great on acoustic instruments, very low noise, high signal handling... it's a dynamic mic but with a frequency response similar to a condensor, plus it looks fantastic The classics never die May set you back up to 500 though...or check eBay

Come down to La Lombardos for a mellow open mic jam session....we're talking accoustics, percussion, nice volume....the venue has had a bit of a makeover since it was last drakes and is the perfect place to chill out on a sunday afternoon and hear/make some tunes! Good story...funny though, I never really cared for the Ripper before (I thought it was the ugly odd one out ) but as you mentioned epiphone above I just had to have a search in the slim hope that epiphone were somehow selling that as part of their current range...well I found it and what can I say...it looks absolutely fantastic! Dunno how it plays/sounds....but I'm really tempted by this....thanks for the heads up!!!
