  1. Will there be tables with candles? I liked the candles thing you had going on at that Thee More Shallows gig, it was nice.
  2. Routing is for losers.
  3. Only just saw the Ironworks site. Deeecent.
  4. From what I gather, you compile your own list of 40-or-so bands you'd like to see, in Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Glasgow (I might have made that up, but apparently you get to pick a venue/place too?) and they'll take everyone's lists and compile a top 40 and that top 40 will be turned into gigs. ...or something like that anyway.
  5. It's not that pointless, to be fair. Someone could see someone who's music taste they trust/share similar interests in mention a band/CD that they don't own and it could lead on to them also buying that CD/liking that band.
  6. Recently I have purchased: Enablers - End Note Enablers - Output Negative Space Olafur Arnalds - Eulogy for Evolution (Regretting not seeing him at Peacocks now... ) A Hawk and A Hacksaw - s/t Blonde Redhead - Fake Can Be Just As Good I also downloaded/borrowed: MGMT - Oracular Spectacular Scanners - Violence is Golden We Are Scientists - Brain Thrust Mastery Converge - Jane Doe Isis - Oceanic Isis - Panopticon American Football - s/t
  7. Hey imp. I think these monsters... would fit in nicely on this bill. Please make it happen.
  8. Those Twilight Sad and Idlewild gigs look verrrry tempting.
  9. The 'bands going to Inverness' thing seems weird to me, but that's only 'cause I live here. I guess it makes more sense in the grand scheme of things, really. I have no qualms with the gigs Aberdeen gets, but it might be different if I couldn't get to Glasgow/Edinburgh so easily.
  10. I forgot this and asked one of the bouncers what they were called. I thought he said "Boyworld". I thought they were quite bland. Oxford Collapse I thought were all right. I don't have the new 'Scientist's album, but, I do enjoy hearing the old stuff live and I remembered some of the songs from the Union Chapel gig. Decent.
  11. I wanted some opinion first before I google'd.
  12. I realise I should post this in the trading post thread or something, but, my friend wants to go to this now, does anyone have a spare ticket or something? Also; I've never heard of either of those supports, they any good?
  13. Who were all the supports? I didn't catch any of the names, except Level Four? Who were the others? Either way, decent gig. The X-Certs' fanbase has expanded a fair bit since last year.
  14. This is why people should just live in the City Centre.
  15. A size comparison? The Lemon Tree's quite a big venue compared to Drummonds? EDIT: I'll elaborate; The Lemon Tree gig last year was packed. Drummonds is quite a bit smaller (or at least seems it?) so it'll be interesting to see how that works out.
  16. Lemon Tree to Drummonds in just over a year? Should be interesting.
  17. God is an Astronaut - All Is Violent, All Is Bright
