  1. That has nothing to do with a setup. If you bend them out of tune, that's operator error.
  2. i know it's a lot of stuff, any chance at pictures?
  3. Pay to play? Man, I know things are getting bad, and you might expect it in a really tight market like LA. But here? Don't get me wrong, I love to play music. But if someone is making money off my hard work by selling beer and expecting me to pay for the honor? That is so incredibly twisted, fucked up and wrong it's beyond belief. Pay to play? Screw that. Play for the door and a cut of the bar? Totally different conversation if you know you can draw bodies. And thanks for the tip about the Glasgow forum, off to check it out-
  4. It's a freebie, but it's good exposure.... *gack*
  5. lots of times you can't see a problem with a connection, but it's there. Just hitting it with a soldering iron and a little fresh solder can fix it. Jacks, switch and wire connections would be where i'd start.
  6. just a thought, anyone that's interested in helping send me and Dave a PM. There's lots to do and we need all the help we can get!
  7. Hey, tell me more about HeadRush, website, etc?
  8. Hey, we have lots of room for bands if any of you are up for this, I know there's a bunch of Fat Possum style bands kicking around (and I won't name names....) but I for one would love you have those bands involved as well- and not just all us old farts.... PM me or Davey if you even think you might be interested!
  9. sorry to ask the obvious, might it be something as simple as the way you've got the strings wound on the tuners?
  10. Thanks Davey, good to be home (even if I missed all the snow). We still on for this gig or we moving the date?
  11. is the mass still available? I know someone that needs this....
  12. Thanks - yeah, I'm fine. no need for flowers or that pine box just yet! It has been an interesting two weeks
  13. Hi davey, don't write me off just yet. Bangkok hospitals are pretty good, and I'm pretty hard to stop.....
  14. Only when the guitar is plugged in. But this will be a solo set, so I'll be a little more cultured so you can chat if you want to. WARNING: Just don't sit in front of me during my set and tell the person on the other end of your mobile phone that you're "not doing anything important" in a loud voice like that idiot at the Lemon Tree, and then have the nerve to be offended when I turn up and break into "jackass with a mobile phone" and everyone laughs so hard that they spit their ciabatta through their nose. Except it'll be beer, because they don't serve yuppie food at Cellar 35.
  15. yeah, otherwise people might start to talk.

which ones are they? I've got a pair of MR 925's need a second pair....
  17. split coils? why so many wires? You should only have 2 wires coming from each of the pickups, wire the black ones to ground and then solder the remaining wires to the lugs of the toggle, and then on wire out of the goggle to the jack. done.
  18. I have a pair of carvins, 1x12 and horn each, work great and they're light too- a big plus. They're rated at 8 ohms and 200watts RMS, normally run w a 500 watt/side amp. Interested? Be looking for around 200 for them-
  19. Damn you, you know I can't think in metric. Going for a tape measure....
  20. how big are these things anyway? massive?
  21. sorry, that was a little cryptic. I've got an es347 for sale that looks like the one in the link. Great guitar, fresh fret level, sound great. Nice cross between a 335 neck and a Les Paul Custom (the ebony fingerboard), PM me if you're interested....
  22. What about an es-347? Les Paul Custom style neck, all gold hardware. ~Looks like this one- Google Image Result for http://www.joetheguitarman.com/1979%20347.jpg
